I have been with the Danville office for a few months and lease a washer and dryer. I come from northern Virginia where things run differently and are always conscience of litigation.
I have had a lot of help from the ladies, however when I am late and they are unable to reach me, they ask me for references despite me giving them months back upon signing the lease. References reference the character of the individual and are not to be called to collect a debt or get in touch with a person. This is explicitly against FCC laws due to embarrassment and endanger of the relationships with the individuals you will practically be harassing because the person you are in contract with is having difficulty paying at times amidst a pandemic.
You cannot solicite contact information months later and say “references were never collected” because you have difficulty reaching the individual. You are soliciting their contact information under deceitful purposes.
The store has worked with me, however I want to make it explicitly clear that if my “references” are called to solicit payment or attempt to contact me that I will seek out litigation to the fullest extent of the law and report the company to the appropriate channels as the BBB, Attorney General, and FCC.

I called up there to fix a few payments and towards the end I wanted to speak to the manager for a personal question. The lady on the phone was absolutely amazing, very respectful and professional. As I ask for the manger she tells me that she is the only person there right now and no manger. How unprofessional can a manger be? They sent a repare guy out all he could tell me is that it wasn't doing right and that he would have to Google it to see how to fix it. Giving this happened back it February. After many weeks its now the middle of June. I finely got someone on the phone that knows what they are talking about. They told me that it isn't a self defrosting freezer even at the time of the sell we WAS told that it is self defrosting.
