Stereotypically power hungry Mall Cop finished my patronage there. First, anyone who remembers, knows this mall used to be a lot better. Over the years, it has dwindled to very few stores. Those few stores, by themselves are still ok, but the "mall" part between them is basically a ghost town. That makes our experience with a power tripping security guard seem even sillier. My 3 kids, wife and I visited the mall on a week night. As usual, the whole place was virtually dead. While my 2 boys (9 and 11) waited for my wife and daughter to shop at Claire's, we sat in a nearby rest area. This particular rest area had small playground equipment inside of it, with a sign indicating only small children should be on the equipment. It did not say bigger kids and adults couldn't sit on the padded seat surrounding the equipment. Now, had this area been busy with small children and their parents.. maybe I could understand what happened. But, again, the WHOLE MALL was EMPTY! So, about 5 mins after my boys and I sit on this padded bench, a little security guard comes up and rudely orders us out. He pointed to the sign about only children under a certain height being permitted on the equipment. To which I said, "we're not using the equipment, we're sitting on the bench." He said that area was strictly for parents of kids playing on the equipment. Which, again, was EMPTY the entire time we were there. I was supervising my boys, they were not loud, rambunctious, or destructive. We were quietly, patiently waiting for the rest of the family to shop at Claire's so we could go to the next store together. After our encounter with the mall cop.. in addition to the decline of the mall itself, we don't plan...
Read morethe fish pond is delightful, and the coin spinner is loads of fun. Garfields has delightful food with a nice atmosphere, and they provide crayons for children. Bath and Body works is well organized with great candles and lots of very nice products.
Joanns fabrics has a variety of crafting supplies, with almost everything one could ever need. it has a nice warehouse feel and is easy to navigate but smells slightly of cardboard.
Dunham’s sports has a great camping section, and all of their products are high quality. they also sell merchandise for local teams, which is great if you want to show your support, and the entire store is very clean.
Pet smart sells almost anything one would ever need however if one is not used to the smell of animals, can be slightly problematic.
County market is well run, has a great inventory, and their deli section is especially delightful, as it has an area for eating. Good birthday cakes, and will design it however you would like. they also have small dispensers of twine which come in handy while shopping.
Claire’s has a wonderful selection of anything any child would want, and you can even get your ears pierced there. If you need new shoes for your child as well, the shoe store is conveniently placed and the employees are friendly and kind. The play area will also keep them entertained, and have coin operated machines that are lots of fun.
overall the mall is well run and clean, but unfortunately not...
Read moreI absolutely love anything to do with Arts and Crafts which is why I try to stop into Joanne Fabrics at every chance I get. I've started quite a bit of art projects lately and I'm always needing to restock on something or another. I feel as though I'm a child in a candy store when I shop here. They've always been pretty good with having what I need available. In addition, they're probably one of the best stores around here that actually keeps up on their inventory duties, provides & maintains a well organized, easily accessible, & very clean atmosphere for their customers. Also, I have not ever had an issues with the employee's whatsoever as they've always been welcomingly friendly, exceptionally helpful, and surprisingly knowledgeable on all their products being sold. Definitely an A+ store with extraordinary employees & all the necessary pros one could possibly ask for in a...
