Darien Commons Residences — Local services in Darien

I want to first highlight that Alyssa has been pleasant to work with, but that's where it ends. The rest of our experience as an early-stage prospective tenant has been nothing short of awful.

I first toured Darien Commons when the scheduled opening date was July 17th. I applied and was enthusiastic about their vision.

That's where the niceties ended and the lack of communication started. There have been three subsequent delays in the opening date of the building, and each time we had to follow up with the building to find out about them. Even worse, they sat with $4250 of my money and after a month I had still not gotten a lease agreement because "it wasn't ready". This is borderline criminal.

To make matters even worse, I attempted to work something out with the management company and they've shown zero empathy or intent to try and help. No sort of makegood to offset the massive inconvenience and financial damage I've incurred by having to rent a short-term rental unit + storage unit. They couldn't even provide us with a concrete move-in date.

I eventually pulled out of the deal and was refunded*.

Be prepared to be given the run-around while they hold your deposit and application fees hostage. Truly one of the most miserable and stressful experiences. You have been warned.

*edit: The management company finally decided to refund my application fee. Perhaps there is still some hope for integrity, but be prepared to...

Being one of the first tenants to move into Darien Commons, I have seen the community grow from a few people working in the office, to a few tenants, to one full building of tenants, and, now, two full buildings of tenants. Throughout this TREMENDOUSLY busy time, the office staff and building crew have been rock stars. My questions are answered quickly and any maintenance requests are instantly fulfilled — No matter what the situation is, whoever is helping me is always professional and friendly. If I could give this place 50 stars I would! I’ve had such a wonderful experience living at Darien Commons, and so much of that is thanks to Kianna G. From the moment I moved in, she went above and beyond to make me feel at home and supported. Their genuine care for the residents and the community is truly unmatched.
