Overall a very negative experience with estate sale although there were some positives. Positives- Staff was nice and setup for sale was efficient. Communication was initially fairly good although not always prompt. Negatives- clean out of house after sale (which was to be included per contract) took 2 months instead of 2-3 weeks and was initially only partially done with some rooms not being cleared at all, until attention was drawn to this by us. Communication was completely cut off by owner when we repeatedly asked when we would get the breakdown from sale and check (cutoff of communication was 2 months after sale took place). At least 5 unanswered texted and 3 voicemails over 10 day period in late January with no response. (Her staff at store confirmed she was not out of town). We finally had to go to another one of her estate sales and get her staff to call her to get a response. Several items were taken after the sale ( that her staff asked permission for taking, but told us they were going to an auction house and we would get a percentage of the sale) which we received no compensation for. She repeatedly told us the check and breakdown from sale were in the mail ( and the date on check was 2.5 months after sale) but it was not postmarked until 3 months after the sale, which is when we finally got the breakdown and found out there was no compensation for stuff taken after sale and that the two largest dollar items (two pieces of farm equipment that were on the sale for total of $2200) were not in the breakdown.    Read moreWe hired Jennifer and her company Doodads to handle our family estate sale. Initially she was very late to our home for the first estimate/meeting. The worst was that the payment and bill of sale was months late, after repeated emails and phone calls. She indicated it was in the mail several times, when it actually was not. In addition, there were some items that were discussed and to be placed on the sale that disappeared. We never received payment for them, and she stopped answering all calls. We ended up filing a police report for the missing items and recouped some expenses minus the $1000 deductible. I would not recommend this company for estate sales. I don't have Facebook so I wouldnt know of the number "pasted all over it." I didn't want to drag something large to the store for no reason and tried calling multiple times to be met with getting hung up on. It's not hard to have a voicemail system, especially as a business. I'm not even sure you buy what I have so I wanted to call ahead.
