Tucked away in the cozy Hidden Cove neighborhood of Davie, Florida, lies Carriage Hills Plaza, a charming strip mall that's been a local staple since 1979. Managed with care by Gator Investments, this plaza spans a generous 64,000 square feet across 6 acres of land, offering a vibrant mix of retail spaces and eateries that cater to a diverse community.
At the heart of Carriage Hills Plaza is the beloved Foodtown supermarket, a hub of activity even as it undergoes renovations to enhance its offerings. Alongside Foodtown stands a Family Dollar, ensuring that everyday essentials are always within reach for shoppers.
However, it's the culinary scene that truly steals the show at Carriage Hills Plaza. As you meander through the plaza, the tantalizing aromas of Asian cuisine beckon from every corner. Whether you're in the mood for the comforting warmth of pho from Pho 79, the savory delights of banh mi from Bahn Mi Cafe, or the eclectic fusion offerings of Mama YaTai & Donut, there's something to tempt every palate.
Speaking of Mama YaTai & Donut, this hidden gem has garnered quite the reputation among locals for its mouthwatering dishes and welcoming ambiance. Don't be surprised if you find yourself waiting in line outside, eager to experience their culinary creations firsthand.
While finding a parking spot can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, with over 200 spots available, it's a small inconvenience compared to the gastronomic delights that await inside. For food enthusiasts like myself, Carriage Hills Plaza is a treasure trove of culinary wonders, offering endless opportunities to explore new flavors and indulge in old favorites.
Whether you're a Davie resident or just passing through, Carriage Hills Plaza is more than just a shopping destinationâit's an invitation to embark on a culinary adventure and discover the rich tapestry of flavors that make this community...
Read moreAt carriage hills plaza there are several sores like Foodtown Grocery, Family Dollar. a couple restaurants and Coin Laundry. Across the street there is a McDonalds. This shopping plaza is well situated and convenient. My family washed clothing at the laundry for all the time we resided in a nearby apartment and had no machine My family moved to a house after several years, again nearby. In October of 2014 on a weekday our dryer broke and we took three regular loads of wet laundry to be dried at this local coin laundry. Unfortunately the employee came to us and said " you can't dry here." My family member asked why not and stated they have been a longtime customer. The reply was, "you can't dry if you don't wash." There was not enough time to both wash and dry because the laundry was only open for another hour and 15 minutes and decided to pack up and leave. I returned to ask th owner if she would accept 20 dollars (which is more than what three loads cost) to allow us the convenience of drying. Instead she yells at me "You get out! You no wash, you no dry, you leave now! Never come back! I admit I got angry and yelled that not accepting money is stupid and that she was losing business for no reason. She answered " I no want you business! You get out! Get out! Never come back!" moral of the story? If you don't wash, you can't dry. The owner has the right to deny service. I have never had customer service issues with any of the other stores located in this plaza. I have purchased items at both Family Dollar and the grocery store and found everyone pleasant there. I will not be going back to the...
Read moreThis is an older strip mall built in 1979 in the Hidden Cove neighborhood of Davie. It is located north of Pembroke Pines and just west of the Florida Turnpike intersection at Stirling Road and Davie Road.
Carriage Hills Plaza has over 64,000 square feet of retail space over 6 acres of land managed by Gator Investments. The plaza is anchored by a Foodtown, a long time popular ethnic and international food supermarket which is currently getting a face lift and a Family Dollar. Other businesses include a Coin Laundry, Lucky Beauty Supply, Bahn Mi Cafe, Pho 79, The Check Cashing Store, Barber Shop, and the shop I recently visited Mama YaTai & Donut which is extremely popular. Expect a line outside to get in.
Parking around this end of the mall was congested even though there are over 200 parking spots for Carriage Hills. Difficulty in parking is my main complaint. The main reason to come here aside from Foodtown is that Carriage Hills has a number of Asian restaurants to explore from the Japanese Mama YaTai to the Vietnamese Bahn Mi Cafe. I look forward to trying more of the culinary delights in this...
