A Pleasant Surprise at a Franchised Vietnamese Restaurant
As someone who typically favors family-owned establishments for authentic experiences, I approached a franchised Vietnamese restaurant with a fair bit of skepticism. My usual preference leans towards cozy, family-run pho spots that offer a personal touch. However, I must admit, my recent visit to this particular franchise pleasantly surprised me.
The star of the meal was undoubtedly the pho special, a generous bowl brimming with meatballs, steak, and brisket. Each component of the dish was cooked to perfection, with the meat tender and flavorsome, soaking up the rich and aromatic broth. The balance of spices and herbs in the broth was noteworthy, creating a symphony of flavors that was both comforting and invigorating.
An unexpected delight was the side of sugarcane and mango. The mango was ripe, juicy, and bursting with tropical sweetness, which paired beautifully with the subtly sweet and refreshing sugarcane. This combination was a refreshing palate cleanser and a delightful contrast to the hearty pho.
Service is often a make-or-break factor in dining experiences, and in this case, it was a definite make. Julie, was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her friendly demeanor added a warm touch to our meal.
In conclusion, while my heart still lies with family-owned pho joints, this franchised Vietnamese restaurant has earned my respect. Their pho special is a must-try, and the sugarcane and mango side is a delightful addition. Kudos to Julie and the team for providing an experience that rivals that of many family-run...
Read moreUpdate to my review Thank you for your message. While I appreciate the clarification, I still stand by my experience and will not be removing my review. If some of the food was ordered through a third-party vendor, it raises a valid question. Why would your brand be attached to food that was not prepared by your own kitchen? As a customer, I placed my order with your restaurant and expected consistency, accountability, and professionalism from your staff, regardless of how the order was handled behind the scenes. Unfortunately, the way the incident was handled did not reflect that. The response at the time only made the experience more frustrating. I shared my review honestly based on what I experienced.
*This was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had, and the owner’s behavior was honestly disgusting. I accidentally dropped a ready-to-eat item on the floor, and when I offered to pay for it, she said no and asked me to pick it up from the ground. I offered twice to throw it away, but she refused and placed it on the counter behind her. Then, she put the dropped item back into the container with the rest to sell to another customer. That’s completely unacceptable. I will never return, and if you care about hygiene or food safety, stay away...
Read moreGreat food, went first a couple of weeks ago for the banh mi and asked which the counter recommended. They did a great selection with their B1 special as it had the works. And also ordered a Paris By Night Boba Tea. Bother were pretty good.
I returned last night with my wife and ordered the cash register's recommendation of R4 from the Rice Combo Plate and it comes with a small veggie soup, rice, three meats, some noodles, sweet and sour sauce liquid, and some slaw. Everything was flavorful and I recommended that plate for anybody wanting to try something new aside from banh mi and tea. I also got the Piña Colada tea with no boba and that was my favorite as well better than Paris By Night.
I will be returning to try more. My wife ordered their Pho and that was a huge serving along with some chicken wings which were extra crispy crunchy and seasoned well.
Atmosphere is nice and nice feeling of authentic as some Asian music played on their speakers in the outdoor seating area and they have posters that highlight local Asian events coming up in the West Palm Beach area for New Year's and other nearby concerts. Staff doesn't speak English that well but that just makes food taste and experience that more authentic...
