We just came home after a crazy two hour dinner, the worst experience I have had of my life.
I went with my friends, a group of four.
My two friends had Pho with beef, and they were satisfied with their soups.
However, my other friend and I ordered stir fry crab with curry sauce the night's special. The meat was very difficult to take out of the shell, and we can't eat shells. We were not satisfied with our dish. There were three of us and each had one piece of the crab from then dish. So we requested to talk to the chef also the manager , .... we waited 30min , and all the other customers left we were still there 10:30PM. She walked out with a lot of feisty-ness, and said Yes? .. We reasonably spoke to her about our issue, but she raise her voice unreasonably defending that we ate more then half so she will not compromise with the situation . If you bring a big dish to the table with a group, ur gonna expect more then one person to try the food..... she said if we had only tried one piece she would not have us pay.... but that is not common sense , one person to eat a shared dish, we also notified the very gentlemen waiter that we will share the dish. Then she argued that its blue crab so there is no meat, what does she expect .... us to eat the shell with rice ? Her hospitality was -100. She wanted to win an argument rather then service customers who came in to...
Read moreI need to preface my review: I have given excellent reviews on Vietnamese restaurants along mostly the east coast so I'm not a hater type person that writes mean things. My order was to go. I had chicken pho. Broth was fine. The noodles, chicken, white rice noodles were OK. I didn't recognize one vegetable. It looked a bit like a tropical plant. It felt soft. I took a photo. Maybe delicious but I didn't try it. I took the pbo to go and had it in my car in parts. Maybe it would ha e been better if eaten together as intended. I had the winter roll. The one not fried. It had a gritty substance almost like fine sand. It also didn't taste good. I bought the banana pancakes for $11 . I bet good ones taste great but these tasted sweet but not bananary(a new word from me). I ordered in advance and the food was ready when I arrived. I am a self taught Mandarin Chinese speaking person. I asked the man behind the counter about the Mandarin or Chinese writing on the wall. He briefly explained how Asian culture is mixed such as Latin ones are mixed. I told him that I speak Mandarin. He may have just been in a rush or was having a bad day but he seemed as if he couldn't wait to get...
Read moreUpdate. This place have been going downhill quickly. South Eastern Florida not many real authentic Vietnamese restaurant . Due to lack of Vietnamese people but if you want to taste closest to real authentic Vietnamese restaurant that serves almost everything including a variety of unusual pho and noodle soups. That will be decent or very good depending what you order but most are pretty decent taste and pretty close to it . In a clean modern environment. You have to try it all here if you want to know what Viet food suppose to be like. Not the best compare to up North but decent or prettty good. Not like most the Vietnamese or Pho place that taste like Chinese or Latin food that tries to mimic Viet food. There is more to Vietnamese food than just Pho. Do not be shy to try new things and ask the server how to properly eat it to make sure it taste correctly. You will be surprised the difference. Miss the Vietnamese restaurant in Northern Virginia. Alot better. This place must have change cooks or something . Food is not that good anymore. Great value in the lunch special but only with chicken wing. Not the egg roll. Undercooked filling is no good but overcooked on...
