I went into hobby lobby and asked the employee standing in the front in the middle of the aisle to get an item down from the wall display that was near the ceiling. She told me oh we have them over there and pointed to the other side of the store with a vague description of where no aisle number or name. I spent 15 minutes looking on the aisles int that area and seeing every other item of that type but the one I actually wanted. As , I was walking back to try and find her again she walked passed me leading a man and women to find something. I said excuse me please and she ignored me and kept walking. Then I saw her again a few minutes later and asked for her to get the item. I was annoyed she sent me on a wild goose chase and yet had time to walk the next person a man and women to find something I guess . Yet couldn't bother to get my item that was near the ceiling in plain sight. She started arguing about that she did help me. I said pleas can you get the item which was a peacock style lawn ornament for me and hold it at the register upfront so when I was done I could pick it up? I walked away to the jewelry area and was shopping when she shows up on the aisle to say she did nothing wrong. She still did not have the item I requested.!! I asked her to not talk to me as I didn't want to listen and didn't want to bother anyone again, just wanted to shop and be left alone. She continues to harass me about the previous interactions. Again I asked her to please get away from me and leave me alone. She then threatened to have me removed from the store and tell her manager from me. Ughhh what is wrong with these people, I am an artist and a R.N. who needs this stress and being followed through the store. Supposed Christian store, give a bad name to Jesus. It's not over really pathetic customer service. I checked out the cashier was nice and pretty helpful, but the computer did not apply all my discount items. There were a couple that didn't get applied. I spent 99$. Plus change they were closing of course Andi went back in and was upset by that time, I already had been harassed and stalked. The Manager Christy talked to me like I was a child telling me she would go over each item. I said I had a hard time and was stressed already with the store. She said she would have me removed that here employee had complained about me saying I raised my voice. I am a Jewish heritage and a Christian and a women and a pillar of the community and was treated badly. When I voiced my initial complaint instead of helping the staff employee and manager made things worse escalating the poor service and then trying to shift the blame. As, I was leaving without my money I am owed for the items not applied the 40% off another customer was waiting for the corporate customer service number. She told me that she loves hobby lobby but the employees were ruining it. The same employee who harassed me also followed and harassed her. And the manger did nothing to address the issue just pushed it off on another customer. This is the second time I have had a bad experience with their employees. I want a full refund and do not even want my purchase anymore would be better of shopping online or at the flea market where people have some culture and love Jesus' and his people. Big fail Hobby Lobby threatened and upset in...
Read moreI don't ever recall having frequented a hobby lobby before, but this store is clean and staff extremely friendly and attentive. Even the store's patrons are amiable, haha. While I was extremely impressed by the organization and layout of the store, the music may have been my favorite part. Unlike tired pop music that Michael's is usually blasting, I was very pleased to hear classical! My shopping experience was zen and peaceful. They have some sales and coupons if what you're looking for is not on sale. Also, they carry a small selection of stretcher bars and unstretched canvas! It's mostly under 10 0z (6.5?), but the big bag (vs the rolls) I believe is 12, so medium duty, unprimed. They also have a cute array of rustic furniture that can remain as is, or be repainted. I'm not into faux flowers, but a huge section of the store is dedicated to those. What I didn't realize is that they sell frames in standard sizes for canvases (I'm a painter, but if you buy a painting in standard size, you can just attach it to one of these with hinge clips instead of going "custom"). Most appear to be the heavier wood composite or mdf, instead of real wood, but budget wise, it's friendlier. I also like glitter projects and they have a nice array. I'd prefer to see more, and some of the bigger piece sets Michaels has (but not the massive ones, because they have those already). They also have a variety of sequins! Lots of cute things and while staff was consistently restocking shelves (but mindful of patrons), everything was clean and orderly. Very very impressive for a retail...
Read more7/2020. I have to travel for at least 30 minutes to get to the nearest hobby lobby from home so when I get one on the way to where I'm going I always try to stop in to get clay. we were on our way home from a family vacation in Daytona and decided to stop in. They seem to be your average hobby lobby with many crafts to choose from and many items on sale. We found the staff to be pretty dry which is not my experience of the hobby lobby close to my home. My elderly parents came with us and also made a purchase of a large 40x 30" frame they had on sale. I stood just outside watching them check out and saw that their item did not fit in a bag or in a cart and the store staff did not seem moved to help them carry the item... it was early and there were hardly any other customers in the store, and no one else in line behind my parents. My husband went back inside and help my parents with it after seeing that staff unmoved. Store managers and staff need to remember that customers pay for a product but the service by which they receive that product also leaves a lasting impression by which customers decide if they will or will not return to make a purchase at that location. We go to Daytona almost every year for vacation and this was the first I knew of a hobby lobby being there... And while I had no issues in purchasing my products, I did not appreciate their treatment of my parents...
