I have never left a negative review on a business. My mom and dad were small business owners so I understand how important it is to have customer support while dealing with theft and people who want to take from your business. I'm making my first authentic drunken noodle dish. This was also my first time visiting Park and Shop. I'm walking through the aisles of this WONDERFUL store that has items I've NEVER seen before. I'm walkng slowly due to a surgery I had a month ago. After maybe 10 minutes, I get hot so I take off my jacket and put it in the cart. I'm continuing on my shopping journey, taking all these GREAT products in. After a few more minutes I notice this, around, 13 year old girl. She had no coat on so I assumed she was related to someone in the store. I saw her pass me by with some candy but didn't really pay attention to her. She passed me again. Then I notice her pass me by, but THIS time she looks DIRECTLY into my cart at the item I was about to purchase. I notice her AGAIN, looking at me, at the exact time at the end of an aisle. As I was about to checkout, she passed me AGAIN, and looks at my coat as I'm about to put it on to purchase my grocery. The last time I felt anything like this was over 20 years ago. Just for reference sakes, I went to 2 other popular Asian stores and felt like a "regular customer". I am not trying to destroy this business. I just want the owners to understand how I felt. I don't even know if there were cameras inside the store. But if there is a big theft issue, install cameras or get security. Please don't follow paying and possible future...
Read moreI tried this place out for the first time. I was actually excited because it was a big asian grocery store near me. When i returned home and tried some of the groceries I saw all kinds of issues. First the tub of read bean ice cream I bought looked like it had been completely melted and then placed back into the freezer. After tasting it I confirmed because each bite had little pieces of ice in it. I threw the tub of ice cream out. Thinking I just got unlucky I went ahead and tried some of "fresh" pastries. When I bit into a black bean moon cake the black bean filling was rock hard. No moon cake I ever tried was hard in the middle, i don't know how long this pastry had been left where it was at. I threw that out as well. I then tried another pastry I bought and it was fine but at that point I just didn't trust this place anymore so I just threw it out not wanting to get sick. I bought dried shrimp and scallops and I'm questioning if I should toss them out as well not trusting anything perishable at this place. I never had this issue with any other asian stores near me. I was going to recommend this place to other people but based on my experience I will stay away...
Read moreI bought longan here today. I wanted to eat it when I got home, but as soon as I peeled it open, all of it was ruined. I even peeled ten pieces and all of them were ruined. I called and said that I could return it. When I got there, the cashier over there (who I met doing checkout when I bought it) actually replied to me, The boss said: I won’t return the fruit after I opened it. I said, I’m not happy with your answer. I didn’t open it to see how I knew it was all broken. I brought all the broken ones over, but she was still very reluctant. Give me my money back. 4.99 a pound total 7.68. The quality of this store has always been poor and the environment is dirty. Sometimes I really need to replenish some vegetables so I come here but found almost all the canned food in the store has expired. I often report it to its old employees, but there is still no improvement. I will never buy food from this store in the future. I would rather drive a little further to 168 or H mart...
