Securitas Security Services USA — Local services in Dearborn

I did not want to leave this review but I cant help but to let my experiences with this company be known so others can avoid and not be inconvenienced like I have with this company. My normal site was with ecorse schools but during the summer they were out so I went to a temporary site in hazel park , however i worked full time and went on vacation from july 18th thru 22nd ..i returned to work on july 23rd and was a normal day no issues ..that night one of the supervisors that works for securitas that was also at the site had taken me and about 7 other guards off the schedule, mind yall we had no notices no letters no warnings no nothing and he sent the email at 10pm when he knew most ppl wouldn't see it or would be sleep etc ..however we was laid off in a sneaky manner , I then reached out to the scheduler and supervisor on site and messaged them and asked what is going on ? I was ignored by not just one person but several..it's like nobody wanted to face any of us or give us an explanation as to why we were just taken off the schedule out the blue . I then texted my district manager who at the time was in the hospital but I didn't know ..all I knew was that I texted him also and to see what was our next steps in being placed at a new site until mines gets back available in September and I was ignored once again ..we'll a week later still haven't heard from anyone , everyone at this site gave us numbers to call and text no one bothered to reach out to us or text us back ..we were left jobless and and no communication from the site we were at or securitas, so I've had to blow up over 7 phone numbers still got ignored..no one wanted to respond or answer their phones ..it's like they already knew why I was calling them. Me calling and texting everyone went on for about 2 and a half weeks I've even took it upon myself to drive to this office in dearborn to see if someone in person could give me an answer and yet not one soul was in the office, I started getting fed up and started applying to other jobs and finally the third week I reached someone in the Ohio office not dearborn ..I had to call out of state to get anyone's attention or answer and he told me they didn't have any sites available and that the district manager that was supposed to place us at a site has unfortunately passed away..which I understand and hate the fact that doug has left us he was the best ever , but someone else in that office should've been reaching out to us to let us know next steps ..I've been out of work and laid off without notice for a month and a half now with no pay and that third week I was told to just file unemployment then return to my original site in September. At this point I filed a claim but won't get any compensation for the month of work that I missed due to securitas lack of communication. It was all me reaching out to the company ..no one in the company had enough sense to reach out to me to this day and thats so unprofessional, what made things worst was I called to see if I was set in stone to return back to the school and two days prior to going a lady tells me they lost the account and no one is going there ..so to this day I have no job and have missed out on a month of compensation due to securitas lack of communication. I could've planned better or had other jobs lined up had of i known I would get screwed ..bills are behind and I have children and it is this companies fault ..everything that happened was out of my control ...place is ran very poorly and alot of managers and supervisors that would rather avoid you then be upfront and honest . Also they keep saying they don't have any sites available for dayshift but I went to coleman young building and they placed the guards I was working with at the site in hazel park at this court..everyone is back to work besides me ..they keep telling me they don't have any sites available. They have lost alot of sites and I see why horrible ran company and I've been inconvenienced...

I loved working for the Securitas supervisor Tamiko Hopkins she was stern but fair all you didn't or don't know she made sure with every step you learned .I worked a campus safety.officer.@madonna college ,I stayed for two years part time flex officer working for Tamiko Hopkins was a.pleasure ,she was on top of everything.. Because of her I gave a good a great rating.its.she kept us knowledgeable of everything to stay on top of our job ..now I have dealt with the company before they are something different but the site supervisors are why Securitas is awesome...I would have given five stars but the company well let's just say thank you Tamiko Hopkins for being up front stern and fair and treated all her staff with dignity ..we weren't just guards we were OFFICERS in her eyes and she made sure we were seen and respected that way and we ALL RESPECT her to the highest and did our job because of her !..Securitas need more like Her.Much Respect.for Securitas having Tamiko Hopkins at Madonna College Site to keep it...

This is a negative review which will be apparent. The switchover with this company after they purchased FE Moran was quite chaotic and concerning. We've been with them almost a year. We have the quarterly fee taken out of our Visa account. We just got notification that somehow we are in arrears. My poor wife has made five phone calls to various numbers that are listed but are not connected to anything. We've now spent nearly an hour trying to pay a bill that is on automatic pilot. We finally found a number in the Detroit area where we got an answering machine. We are now waiting to be called in the back. I did try to use the Internet to contact them but their little verify algorithm failed about 10 times. This gives me some concern that this company may not be very good at all and that I've simply been sending $118.50 to them every three...
