What happened to the courtesy of employees at this store? I was recently back in town visiting my parents and had went to this location and was so disappointed in a few of the staff. There was a lady that was not in uniform working the checkout lane name Stephanie that was just rude. I asked her if she was in management considering she did not have a Kroger shirt on like the other cashiers. She really replied that she was a manager and was simply helping check out because they had fallen behind. She was not friendly and acted like it was a bother to help customers. Not only was she rude to my husband and I she was also rude to the bad boy who was doing a fine job bagging all our groceries.
After we finished checking out I remembered I needed to buy some stamps for my mother so I went to customer service. While I was in customer service I was waited on by a lady named Kendra who smelt so heavy of smoke it about knocked me over. She was chomping on some sort of candy which was just disgusting and was a very unfriendly. I simply asked her for help getting a book of stamps. She sarcastically replied you do realize you can get those at the checkout. I said yes but I forgot she then literally sighed and rolled her eyes.
Needless to say, if employees acted like this at our store in the Nashville/Brentwood area they would be fired.
I understand sometimes people that make minimum-wage have a minimal effort for the work they do.
However, like I said Stephanie told us she was in management and after asking around later I found out that Kendra was over the entire front end of the store. Is this how you train your employees?
All I can say is for such a nice store with recently been upgraded and re-organized it is clear the only thing that was changed was the appearance of the store. Unfortunately the same trashy employees still work there.
One last disgusting thing was while we were in line there was a cashier named Brenda that had reddish hair that was checking behind us that talk very loudly and was saying how she had no money and she was hungry and literally asked this customer if they would buy her some lunch. I just looked at my husband in shock. This is so distasteful and uncalled for.
This customer literally handed her cash and she put it in her pocket. Since when were employees allowed to receive or ask for something from customers? I will not be going back to the store.
This experience happened a few months back I was recently filing papers away when I found my note with the peoples names on it so I decided to go ahead and go online and leave a review. I would suggest if you need to go to a grocery store you go across the street to the Walmart or the newer...
Read morecase number 81664085 I have been a customer at this store at least once a week for the last 4 years. Kendra told the 1-800-Krogers customer service rep that I complain "every time" I come into the store, which is a complete and total lie. I have complained twice - not 50 to 100 times, which would be "every time". She totally and completely lied to him about me, without even talking to me. She also flat-out lied to him about me when she told him that I ate half the pizza, but I was returning approximately 90% of it - I ate some, otherwise how would I know it did not taste fresh. Kroger advertises in the store that "If it's not fresh, you can return it - no questions asked - no exceptions". However, that is false advertising at this store. The first time I tried to return something, I did not have my receipt. I did not expect to be given a hard time, because it was a Kroger brand that had not expired but had obvious mold growing on it (un opened cheese). However, the "manager" (I think his name was Kenneth or Kevin) wouldn't even discuss it with me - his only words were, "no receipt - no return". I called and complained about him (case number 80806741). Then, several months later, I tried to return strawberries that were not "fresh" and a frozen pizza that tasted very bad (not "fresh"), and this time I had my receipts. When I came into the store, the customer service was closed, and an employee, Stephanie, said in an impolite and unfriendly manner, "what do you want/what do you need". I told her I had items to return and she said "go over there - I'll be with you when I can". When she finally came over, she said I had to take the strawberries back to the other Kroger where I bought them and I had to contact the manufacturer of the pizza if I didn't like it. I asked her for the manager and she said he would say the same thing. She finally called him (Jeff), but when he finally came up to the front of the store, I was on my phone by then with 1-800-Krogers customer service. He walked right by me without saying a word nor even looking at me, and continued to walk away.
People should not be subjected to this low level of poor customer service - it seems like it is a racial thing, because I am not white, but all the management/supervisors I encounter there are white. I do not understand why else I would be treated so badly when I am such a loyal customer. The management at this Kroger obviously...
Read moreI was kinda disappointed..I found a phone that I wanted, but the phone on display wasn't the one they had. Any way to fix this? The gal that helped me had no clue. Also, Kroger's has a habit of discontinuing the Kroger's brand product we use..'sugar free hard candy fruit mix', Kroger's brand french toast', ( you were the only store that carried full size toast, not sticks). And yesterday, I was buying a case of Diet Dr. Pepper, and it had a dollar off coupon on it, yet the cashier told me that it was only on Pepsi products. Then why is there a coupon on the box? I had purchased the same thing last week, and the cashier took it, but yesterday it wouldn't ring up. Did the last cashier lie to me or did this cashier not do something right? Don't get me wrong, I love Kroger's. I shop there at least 7 times a month. I like your brand of products and your prices. I won't buy meat anywhere else. And I usually don't have this much to complain about. But yesterday was not a good day. And this opportunity just appeared on my phone, so I...
