My elderly grandma always goes to the location on MLK blvd in Decatur for her lunch. She orders the exact meal every time. She has the price memorized down to the PENNY and always brings exact change for her payment. She was out towards Mt. Zion today running errands for Christmas and stopped in the DQ out there. She ordered her meal exactly as she does almost every week for the last several years. Not once has her normal location given her a hard time about substituting toast for French fries for her meal. The manager on duty tonight felt it necessary to humiliate my grandma on from the the entire restaurant, raising his voice and telling her there is no way he would allow such substitutions. He went on and on about how much the taxes are for the building asking my grandma how much money she thinks he would lose if he always did that for people. She tried to explain that she always orders this way at the location across town and he just spoke louder and told her that he would call over there and make sure that doesn’t happen again. Unbelievable! Over a piece of bread and butter this man ruined my grandmas night and made her feel utterly ridiculous…when in reality it was the manager who should be embarrassed about his own...
Read moreI have been at this location on two seperate occassions. The first time, the manager on duty was yelling at an employee while they were waiting on customers at the counter. No team work at all. The cashier was having to leave her register, with customers in line, to run food out to the floor. the store was filthy. no clean tables the floor was slick and dirty. The second time was this Sunday afternoon about 2:30 pm. we waited at the counter for several minutes before anyone even greeted us. after being waited on, we went to find a seat. There were dirty tables and dirty floors as well as the drink area being so filthy and wet with spilled pop etc. I went to the ladies bathroom. It was disgusting!!! I didn't even want to use it. the floors were sticky and nasty as well as the tile walls. There was actually human feces on the wall in one of the stalls. SO GROSS!! When I told the cashier, she just looked at me with a blank expression on her face. The french fries were cold and old. I will not be back to this location again. 2 strikes and your out...
Read moreI went inside to order a small blizzard and it took 20 minutes before I had it in my hand. There was only one person in front of me. The drive thru looked busy and slow too. The time before this, it took 45 minutes to get 2 blizzards. They had to remake them because the first ones were made incorrectly. There were lots of young people working. They need retrained on time management and customer conversation. One of the employees kept telling me that they should be home by now. I heard that several time. I finally told this person to leave. The employee that took my order went out to clean a table before making my order. There were plenty of empty tables for customers. I might give them one more try to improve customer service. I hope they get it right because I love DQ. Maybe next time I will rate...
