I went to this Verizon store to get a quote for internet. When I arrived all reps were busy with other customers. I paced back and forth to the various displays, patiently waiting. After about 5-10 minutes a customer walks in the door and immediately one of the reps runs to her with a tablet and takes her information. I walked over while this was happening and asked why I was not helped first as I had been waiting. She said she didn't see me, despite the fact I had circled the store many times. She took my information and asked me to sit down, so I did. I received a text saying that I had one customer ahead of me. I again asked the same rep why this other person is ahead of me if I arrived first? Immediately, another rep named Jacqueline interjected and said that it was because the other customer had an appointment (note, she didn't check, she just said it as if it was fact). A minute later she feigns looking at her pad with the other rep and comes over and says it was a mistake, there was no appointment. In other words, she lied to cover her co-worker. I asked for a quote for internet, taking into account my current phone plan. Jacqueline said she would get me a quote and disappeared into the back area of the store for at least 10-15 minutes. While I waited, I overheard two other customers dealing with issues. One never received a package for a phone return, twice. Another was pressured into a plan he didn't want, and when the rep, who was standing there with him, got a Verizon rep on the phone to help him, they wanted to up sell his plan instead of help him with his issue, which only served to frustrate the customer more. The lead/supervisor asked another employee at least once to check on Jacqueline as she was taking so long. I looked in the corner where the customer that came after me was. She had a look of despair on her face, which I could sympathize with. I was about to leave when Jacqueline walks out with a single piece of paper with quotes trying to up sell me on all of the features when I told her I wanted bare minimum. I looked at the quote for a brief moment and said thank you, to which both Jacqueline and the other rep, who was hovering about, both smiled at me as if they were being forced to. I walked out after saying thanks and went home. The dishonesty on display was enough for me. And the fake smiles when I said thank you told me all I needed to know. It's such a shame, because I was ready to get internet...
Read moreEdit: I will never go back. I needed a new phone and decided on the S7. There was a bundle deal with a case, tempered glass screen protector, and car charger. The protector was opened and applied by an employee. After getting the phone home, I noticed that the screen protector doesn't adhere to the screen completely, namely the edges bc the screen is curved so dust and junk gets under it. Went back today and was told by 2 employees that not only is this store aware of this issue (kept calling it a "halo") but there is no glass protector that fits the S7 properly. I was not told this during the purchase, nor given any other option for a screen protector Also, I have no recourse bc the protector was applied to a phone so it can't be returned, and they don't have any other protectors anyway. I left and called Customer Service, who within about 5 minutes credited me the cost of the protector. The rep stated that none, NONE of what happened should have happened. Also, he said that stores work on commission. So, word to the wise: if you go here, do your own research and buy what you know will work. These employees cannot be trusted and won't fix an issue that they created. They apparently will just sell you garbage, knowing full well that it doesn't work properly.
My original 5 star review: After an abysmal experience at an authorized Verizon retailer across town, we came here. It was like night and day! Blake was polite, spoke to each of us (the phone we were activating was for my mom), didn't try to sell us junk, and was super clear and efficient. We were in and out in about 10 minutes! We had a very positive experience and won't go anywhere else. ...
Read moreI thought I had it bad with T-mobile until I encountered Verizon. Customer service is horrible especially if you’re not there to purchase a phone. Online service is even worse. We made it very clear to the lady We dealt with from the start that we just wanted to switch service providers using our old phones, she understood and worked with us on that, set up our phones with new simcards. This worked for strictly one month then our service got disconnected after 1 month of joining the network with our old iPhones. We never received a bill, I went to the store to make some inquiries into the total amount we owed plus taxes if any. And this was after several attempts made to do so online failed. I was directed to a pay station. The machine couldn’t compute the total amount even after I put all my details in. The staff had absolutely no interest in even trying to help me. They all glanced at me and continued what they were doing. I spent 45 minutes with no help. Walked out, had no phone service for a week. My husband traveled to a different branch in Boardman, while at that branch, they could not reinstall the service on our old iPhones claiming that it was the settings hindering it.They convinced him to get new iPhones. That’s the only time they were eager to help. Even then, he spent the whole day in the store. I am contemplating going back to T-mobile. The only challenge I ever encountered with them was weak signals. Customer service both online and especially on...
