This place needs so much improvement.
Out of food well before closing.
Out of bags to properly bag to go orders.
Every single table is clearly dirty while multiple staff members find useless tasks to do rather than clean for customers that are here and now.
Multiple employees just come out of the back like it’s not a busy time.
Multiple employees have their lunch break at lunch time. You’re a restaurant!!! It’s your time to shine.
Lots of staff members that act like they’ve been hit with a tranquilizer. They truly have zero sympathy for the customers that are spending their lunch time waiting for over 30 minutes.
The store still looks like it’s closing down when it has been open for 15 minutes.
Wait times for food is completely out of control.
Food is rarely prepped. They’re frequently bagging chips as they’re ordered. As in the past and sometimes, the chips are bagged and ready to go before the store opens.
Multiple staff members with shoulder length hair, not in a hairnet or pulled back.
Zero customer service. These staff members do not see how putting to go orders in an upright bag with everything but a burrito is a problem. They do not greet you when you walk in. They do not smile. They do not apologize for the wait times. It seems like there’s is a few employees that are in touch with reality but the majority of the snail pace (lights are on but no one is home) staff is really bringing them down. There is no sense of urgency in the restaurant. The higher ups need to come here, quick.
Very little to no, hand washing or glove switching while going from meal prepping to cash register, and then back to meal prepping
An employee with purple hair past the shoulder- not tied up, chewing food while transferring steak from one pan to another.
I was there for over 45 minutes for a to go order with seven other to go customers. I did not see anyone that appeared to be a manager coming to help the team.
When I do see a manager, they do not seem to have a backbone or eager to help the team to get through the busy rush-hour or pick up the slack in whatever area they can.
There is little to no professionalism. Be who you want to be but there is a time and a place. Put on a bra, hold off on the Halloween makeup every other day besides Halloween, and make yourself presentable for your job. Do not look like you just rolled out of bed. If you do not have effort for yourself, I know you do not care about your work and the food you are to prepare for others.
Chipolte is one of my favorites but the thought of the West Lansing location makes me cringe and dread going there, so I don’t but I want it, so...
Read moreStopped in on a whim, was feeling some Mexican, and a friend of mine had said Chipotle is way better than Qdoba (my usual stop).
Walked up to the counter and was not greeted by the young woman, just asked what I wanted. "Chicken bowl, please." She asked what kind of rice I would like. Now, compared to Qdoba's rice options, these two looked very similar so I asked if one was white and one was brown, since it wasn't blatantly obvious to me. "Yeah," she responded sardonically. Then she asked what protein I would like. I repeated, "Chicken, please." At each step, she seemed more and more frustrated with my order, finishing me off with a large glob of sour cream nearly spilling over the edge of the bowl.
A different young woman rang me up for my order, and she was not super pleasant either. Non-conversational, seemingly unaffected by my presence. Total came out to $8 and change, I paid, and she walked away from the register. Fortunately, I'm not completely helpless, and found the forks and napkins just behind me.
Sat down to eat and started reading reviews. 100% agree with those that say the rice was a little sus (slightly undercooked), but everything else was delicious. Chicken was great, salsa perfect spice level, the sour cream amazing (and made the glob-action of its dispensing forgiveable).
As for atmosphere - about what you'd expect from any fast food location. A little dirty, but nothing alarming.
I know fast food work can be tedious (as a former Subway manager), but in spite of that, it's still customer service. It's okay to be stressed, but I prefer not to have that stress taken out on me. As a non-regular, definitely didn't feel welcome here. Won't come back to this location, but the idea of Chipotle on the whole is not tarnished for me. Maybe I'll try the Okemos...
Read moreI went to this location a couple of days ago and I placed my order online from the parking lot. I waited the 15 minutes until the time it stated online that my food would be ready to pull around to the pick up window. There was a car infront of me that I waited behind for over 10 minutes. This irritated me because this is just a pick up window that you pull up to and get your food that you already ordered prior to driving up to this window. When I finally made it to the window, I waited a few more minutes before an employee came to the window. I told him my name and he proceeded to tell me they didn't have the hard shells for the tacos I ordered. After waiting all that time and then getting told they didn't even have something I ordered once I was at the window I told him to cancel my order and refund my money. The employee told me I would have to go online and request a refund since I placed my order online. There was no number to call for customer service so I ended up chatting with Chipotles customer service automated assistant Penny. After jumping through hoops to chat with a real person I was connected to Karen. After Karen asked me a few questions and I answered them, out of nowhere I was back chatting with the automated assistant Penny. Penny told me I received my food, which wasn't true, and that it was too late to get a refund and then told me goodbye. I initiated another chat, jumped through the hoops with Penny again to chat with a real person again and finally this person told me they would refund me. From the time I placed my order to the time I got a refund was over a hour! I wasted over a hour with Chipotle and never even received any food. Needless to say, I am team Qdoba from now on, I am done...
