9-8-24 UPDATE: I went back today and spoke with the manager. I told him about the tray falling off the ledge and hitting my guest. He said she (waitress) did not do it on purpose. I never said she did. 😠 (keep setting stuff on that ledge and next time, it could be a child or elderly person sitting there and instead of a tray, it could be a hot beverage or a heavy plate to come down). I showed him the receipt and questioned the 25% discount. He said alcohol beverages are not part of the discount, and I paid cash, so he can't reimburse for the wraps? And the reason for cold lobster tail and potato? staff should have taken back the steaks only, not the sides. How do you do that when both items come on the same plate? He gave me a $25 coupon.
9-7-2024 @ 7pm, our party of 4 adults and 2 kids came to celebrate my son's bd. I did not have the greatest experience the last time, but he likes the food, and to be honest, I do too.
We were seated at a large, curved booth. One side of the booth backs up to a narrow ledge that is just above the head. This is when it all begins...
Our waitress (Mariah) is fiddling around with trays on this narrow ledge and down comes a tray and hits my guest on the back, and Mariah asks, "Did you get wet?" And yes, she did, but not a lot. ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN....
We order drinks, and I tell Mariah that I want to order an appetizer. As I am telling her what I want, she cuts me off and says, "The fire cracker chicken wraps." NO, I want the shrimp. She then says, "Oh, you want the wild west shrimp." YES, that is what we want.
She arrives with fire cracker chicken wraps and sets them on our table. 😒 I tell her that is not what I ordered. She replies, "Oh, I got confused because you said the chicken wraps at first..." NO, YOU SAID THAT. Obviously, she had forgotten that she corrected herself when she took the order... she takes them away. We did not touch them.
Dinners ordered: 6oz filet & lobster tail w/parm cheese added to steak dinner. 6oz Renegade steak w/parm cheese added dinner.. 12oz lemon garlic chicken dinner. 12oz parm crusted chicken dinner. 2 kid chicken strip dinners.
The 2 steak dinners are first to arrive. BOTH are missing the parm cheese, and Mariah takes them back to the kitchen for the cheese. In the meantime, the other dinners are coming out. I ALWAYS ask my guests, "Is your food hot?"
NO. The food is not hot. It is barely warm. The bottom of son's mac-n-cheese bowl isn't even warm. My daughter said her asparagus is warmer than the chicken.
Here comes the 2 steak dinners, now with parm cheese added. The one has a cold lobster tail. The other has a cold sweet potato.
I get up to look for the manager. For as much as I am going to pay for all of this...I find her at the hostess desk and she follows me back to the table. She makes a remark that she "heard" us saying there were issues...yet, I have to come look for her?!
The manager is taking 3 dinners back and the mac-n-cheese and asks, "do you want all new dinners?" Umm...YES! Who wants microwaved chicken and lobster tail?? One daughter kept her dinner because, "I'm starving and I don't want to send it back a 3rd time." 😶
As the manager is taking the food away, she said to me, "I can give you a discount OR a free dessert, you choose." We kinda all looked at each other...are you kidding me?! This is going to cost at LEAST $200 and your offering a free dessert?!! WTF?? I tell her I want a discount.
I attached a copy of the receipt in my photos. I don't see a 25% discount. I see $200.19 total in food (b4 tax-6%). $212.20 with tax. And a $36.16 discount that is supposed to be 25%? It's more like 18%, no? I am not the best with math, so correct me if I am wrong.
AND I WAS CHARGED FOR THE FIRE CRACKER CHICKEN WRAPS THAT WE DID NOT ORDER OR TOUCH. 🤬
I paid with CASH. I now have to make a return trip back there to straighten this out. I'll keep you posted on the outcome. I can honestly say, I am DONE...
The food is REALLY GOOD! But, over the last 6 months, I did notice that the prices are going up and portions are smaller. 1 year ago, I could feed a family of 3; full course dinners with 1 adult beverage for $65-$70.
For the same meals, (smaller portions example: rice) it now costs $75-$85.
9/3/20 update. A few months back when our Governor lifted some covid restrictions, one of them was allowing restaurants to open inside dining. My sons and I went and we were a little nervous about it. When our beeper buzzed we wore our masks inside. All staff were wearing them too. We were seated with a fair amount of space away from other customers. They had paper menus. No salt/pepper shakers on the tables. I felt comfortable and safe. Obviously, nothing happened to us. The food was excellent!! I highly recommend their chicken parmesan dish. My sons love their steaks and macaroni and cheese. The stuffed mushrooms are fantastic! I really like the house Margarita. They also offer pickup. I have used this service before and the food, as take home, is just as good as inside dining. The staff are friendly and efficient. We really like this establishment.
10/11/20 update. We had a party of 4 to dine in. It was around 7pm and wasn't too busy. Staff are still wearing masks and they continue to use paper menus. No condiments on the tables and everyone was spread out. A sign is posted on the door regarding masks. Wear them when entering the building and keep them on until you get to your table/booth. We were almost done with dinner when a fairly large group (maybe 8 or 9) with little kids came through without masks. They sat at a huge round table and although you couldn't see them (we were in a booth) you could certainly HEAR them. The kids were banging the utensils off the plates (real silverware and real plates) that made your ears vibrate! Kids were yelling and banging as if everything was back to normal. Staff said nothing. I was surprised to see them walk through without masks. I was just waiting to see if the kids were going to start running around. Not too sure if I will go back for a sit down dinner, but will definitely do pickup. I suppose that I'm just not ready to dine in with screaming kids...
Read moreWent for lunch after church and it was a decent experience. First time here for a few of us so relied heavily on reviews.
Our waitress was very nice and quick. She gets 5 stars.
We ordered our food with 3 people ordering steak and one chicken. Two steaks came out a little more bloody than requested but edible. The cut of meat was very good. Another steak came out very bloody and there was so much fat that it was inedible. My husband ordered the same steak and it has very little fat at all so it was a little off putting to see the quality difference for the same cut. We asked our server for a different steak and she even commented on the fat content. Shouldn't this be noticed before it hits our table? We aren't paying $25 for grilled fat. When I say it was mostly fat, I would estimate 8oz fat, 2 oz meat. It wasn't good.
The manager brought a new steak to the table and there was still a lot of fat but not nearly as much as the first. She even threw in a free loaded baked potato. We were grateful for that especially since everyone else was done eating while waiting for the steak to arrive.
Next up, lemon garlic chicken. I can't have red meat so I was really looking forward to this especially due to my love for lemon and garlic. It was so extremely salty that it was difficult to eat. I didn't want to complain again so I asked for a box to try again at home. Nope, still salty. I had others try a bite and all agreed. Can't even eat it.
One steak that was a good cut was overseasoned with pepper but was still enjoyable.
Caesar dressing was bland but well made side salad. Other sides chosen were very good.
Overall, it seems there's a problem with steak cuts and over salting and seasoning food. After reading other reviews, it seems our visit wasn't the first. Hoping these reviews are actually read by management and these...
