hear me out I am totally not a Karen but I should have gotten a full refund or at least half and here is why. I ordered a book back at the beginning of the school year and I would call every other week to see if the book was ready to pick up. the second to last time I called I asked when was the estimated time it would arrive, they said they were not sure but when it did come in I would be called, emailed, or texted. since they had told me THEY WOULD LET ME KNOW WHEN THE BOOK WAS READY FOR PICKUP, I didn't want to continuously bother them. So I waited patiently for the email or call that never came. so today I called and was told my book had been ready to pick up FOR A WHOLE MONTH! crazy right, so I tell the employee (nice guy he didn't do anything wrong) That I never received any type of message letting me know that my book arrived. The employee proceeds to tell me that they sent a text but it bounced back meaning there was basically no text sent. he told me I could work some thing out for a refund with the manager if I came up the to store. couple minutes later I'm up at the store being super nice explaining my situation and he try's to give me all these excuses as to why he wasn't going to refund me any of my money, until the very end he said he could give me $12 for a book I Paid $80 for...we went back and forth for like 10 minuets and so I just left because he wasn't going to admit that they had done me wrong. I have other books form here but I don't think I will be purchasing from here again. @voertmans...
Read moreI’m getting incredibly frustrated with UNT’s options for bookstores. I’ve gone to Voertman’s for many semesters and have always had issues with books being ready for pickup 1-3 weeks late, I get it, it happens. But when I ordered books for the Fall 2021 term, one - which had no option but to be ordered brand new - was never given to me. I even went to the store around 2 MONTHS into the semester and it still wasn’t there. Went to return books at the end of the term and they tell me they can’t refund it because a notification was sent for pickup, supposedly the day after I went in to ask about it, which never got to me. I check both my emails and sms inbox religiously. They said it was probably sent to spam… Nope. Even so, if I’m paying for a service, maybe they should use a more reliable method to get a hold of the renter, like a courtesy call or something (which I also never got). So now I’m out money for a book I never received and from now on I’m finding a more reliable way to get my textbooks because this is getting ridiculous. First the books were a week or three late coming in, now it might take a month or even longer than that! Maybe make sure the Pickup Ready message sends so I can actually pick up the book I NEED for class or reliably refund it if it...

Today I went into their store to purchase a few sheets of Gray Rives BFK, I had the sticker from the last batch that I had purchased and the guy seemed happy to help. He grabbed some rives paper, I paid for it and ran off to class thinking that I had just bought some Gray Rives BFK. But not even 5 minutes after purchase did I realize that by a trick of the light that it looked Gray but I fact was white Rives BFK. Okay, no big deal, I went back with the paper still wrapped up in the plastic I had just bought, completely untouched by me. When I got back to the counter and politely told the man about the mix up he proceeded to blame me for giving him the label that had "tiny text" and that I would have to buy "Extra paper if I wanted the right one. No Refunds" and "I Should have known better" that his mistake was "My Fault"... I just spent $28 on the wrong paper fetched by this guy and then charged and Additional $30.27 for his mistake!
The most upsetting thing is how quick he was to turn an attack me over HIS mistake! This place will never get my business again and I highly suggest that any of you looking to buy from these people to...
