I walked into the store and thereās a employee at the front with a display of foundations. She says hello to me and I continue on my way. While looking at MAC makeup products right behind the display I hear her ask new customers walking in if they want their foundation matched with the products she had on display which I found rude since I was not asked or greeted as friendly as other customers. I continue looking at MAC foundations trying to figure out my color while employees continue looking at me and not asking if I need help. I wander into other foundation isles to keep looking. I was in an isle with another lady and as soon as I walked into the isle behind it an employee asked if that lady needed help and she said she was ok. The employee then walked past my isle and didnāt say anything. I then go over to the morphe section and Iām crouching down looking at products on the lower section and an employee comes towards me and looks at me and says excuse me with an attitude because Iām in the way. That happened two times in the same section. I get everything I need with no help and continue onto the line where there was only one cashier who is helping someone with a return. The line starts getting long and employees are kind of just looking and not coming over to help check out customers. Once someone is called over they ask next person in line, Iām up, and all sheās says is phone number. I give her my phone number. She rings everything up and quickly puts my receipt in my bag and calls for the next person. Personally not being a person whoās into higher end makeup and finally going into a store to see what is out there and then getting treated like I was nonexistent was awful. I left very uncomfortable but satisfied with the choices I had made...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never ever write reviews, but my experience today left me so dumbfounded I wanted to share to make someone aware of how the employees here are treating customers. I had just gotten to the section I was hoping to find a cleanser in because I love the brandās moisturizer so much. Unfortunately, it appeared to be out of stock. That was when a worker approached me and asked if I was looking for a specific cleanser, to which I responded yes actually, but it looks like itās out of stock. She then asked if I would like her to recommend something instead and what price point I was hoping for. When I responded with drug store price points, she said before she recommended anything she wanted to check the back to see if the product I was originally looking for was in stock - she explained they donāt leave it on the shelves because itās a ātrendingā product. When she came back with the product, I was excited and appreciative, but she seemed disgusted. She didnāt say anything and handed me one, to which I said it gets really good reviews, in an attempt to defend me (22F) buying this product, and she rolled her eyes and said well yeah, thatās because itās trending. I then got worried that she may be right, so despite her being a little off I asked for recommendations outside of that product like she had originally offered, to which she said, āIām a licensed esthetician so I donāt tend to recommend drugstore productsā, then walked away. I stood there baffled as I have never had an experience quite like this one. Ulta, please educate your ālicensed estheticianā employees on drugstore skincare so they can help the other 50% of customers. I put the cleanser...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got a haircut here and was stunned by the lack of care for their customer. I downloaded pics of the style I wanted for my long hair that was down to my mid-back. I wanted my haircut to armpit length with texture and curtain bangs. She cut it to above shoulder length. I showed her pics and said I wanted choppy texture. She gave me a 90s shaggy Jennifer Aniston style. I wanted curtain bangs-she gave me very wispy mid-forehead bags. She never had me facing the mirror when she was styling my hair, she faced me away from the mirror so I couldn't see what she was doing or how she was using styling tools or what products she was using. Then she turned me towards the mirror like a reveal and though it looked good- it wasn't me. She never asked about my lifestyle, what, if any products do I use - most importantly she didn't see or listen to me and what I wanted. I had to ask her what products she used and I had to ask her how she used the tools since she never showed me as, again, I wasn't fackng the mirror. I now put my hair up everyday and pin my "bangs" to my head. She was so young on so many levels. I wish they trained their hair stylists to also speak up and ask a million questions to their clients and really understand what their clients want. I can't wait until it grows out next year. I'm afraid I won't go back to this place for hair...
