Gosh if I could give -5 stars I would. I’ve been getting my nails done for a very long time and have had plenty of horrible nail experiences. but this… this was different. As a licensed esthetician, I was appalled with the horrible service that I received here.
Let’s start out with the services that I requested. I requested a pedicure with full set of acrylic, french tips to be exact. I came in with my previous set which needed to be filled/ re done. I had a picture and my previous set which was still on when I came in, for reference of what I wanted.
The pedicure service begins, my first lady seats me and I let her know what I wanted as explained above. She advises me that she can not do the french tip and retrieves her co worker, who I’m assuming to be “qualified” to complete my desired set. WRONG. The pedicure was horrible. She barely scrubbed my feet, I had to go home to finish the job as there was still skin that could’ve been exfoliated. My cuticles were not cleaned up and she neglected to clean underneath my nails. I proceed to pick remaining skin and dirt and what not from my toe nails and I am told “Oh I will do that later.”, which never happened.
As she begins to do my french tip I explain once more what I want along with a picture and reference the previous set that was on. She says okay and proceeds to BOTCH my nails. I tell her that the tip is too thick and she barely thinned them out. Throughout and at the end of the service I tell her that I am not happy at all with the results as the acrylic is lumpy and bumpy and the gel polish is blotchy.
I am then argued by the female owner of the salon. I show her the obvious issues with the set and she tells me “Well, there is no one here that can do what you want.” I ask, “ So no one here can do a french tip set on toes?” I am replied to with a smug “No.”
You mean to tell me that I wasted 2 hours of my time all to be told that no one can do a french tip set?? One, I should’ve been advised of that BEFORE my service and I would’ve gladly left. Two, in a salon full of “certified/maybe licensed” nail artist and technicians, not one person in here can offer a simple yet original service such as a french tip set on toes?
I am then told that they can take it off but they won’t do my nails for me despite the results being horrible. I advised her that I had a funeral to go to the next day and that was the reason I came to get my nails done in the first place, she showed no sympathy or emotion towards the job her worker had failed to complete.
The owner then proceeds to tell me that I have to still pay for the pedicure( massage/foot soak, etc) and the acrylic. I said “No, this is a horrible job.” I am remaining calm and respectful the entirety of this horrible experience. Soon, most of the people that work here are gathering to see my nails. I am embarrassed at how...
Read moreIf I could leave 0 stars I would. This is by far the worst customer service I ever experienced. I went to get a pedicure and acrylic overlay. After I got done getting my pedicure I sat in the chair to get my nails done. I had 3 pictures of nails and asked the nail tech the price before picking one. After he told me the price, I decided to go with one solid color to keep in simple. He then says, “hold on, I’ll be back” and does not come back. This other lady comes to do my nails, but she already has an attitude with me. I think nothing of it because she’s still doing my nails. She discloses the price to me and I tell her what color nails I want. She informed me that I cannot do a rebase since my nails are old and processed to say, “ so what do you want to do? Do you want me to just soak it off or a full set because I’m not doing a rebase on your nails” in a very rude tone. Her tone caught me off guard but I proceeded with the full set since I was already there. She then ask, “ why don’t you do dip or a gel manicure since your nails are strong” I said, “ok, I’ll do dip since it’s cheaper and it’s basically the same.
So she starts to do my nails and as I always, I said, “ I don’t want the dip to be thick” which is a very common request. She stops doing my nails and proceeds to say “ I’m not doing nails for you because I have to do 4 layers” I said “ok, that’s fine, can you just do them since I’m already here” she said, “no”. I asked can I have someone else do my nails and she said no because she feels like I’m not going to not like my nails. I was very confused because her reactions was very unprovoked and I was not asking for much. She soaked my nails off and did not provide me with the service.
She was extremely rude and prejudged me before even sitting down to do my nails. She already didn’t like me before talking to me and she was waiting for a reason to not do my nails. My request should not have caused her to act that way towards me. I get my nails done often and this is by far the worst...
Read moreI rated place 3 stars. Don't get me wrong, the place looks great. Loved the idea of a side bar. Various services. Some services offer you complimentary tea, beverage, and some alcoholic drinks. The seats are messaging and they check up on you while doing your pedicure.
What threw me off is the amount of people that question their prices once the service has been done. Firstly, I was standing with the salon and thought that some of these people may be freeloaders.
During my service it seemed they were pushing me to go above and beyond in choosing the most expensive pedicure. I didn't cave in and got myself the Milk and Honey service which was $77. I also choose the cat eye style nail polish which said was an extra $10. This service also came with a complimentary drink!
After my service, I went to go get checked out and payoff my pedicure. The person who did my pedicure handled in charging me which resulted $103. I didn't make a scene and was also pushed from the person who did my pedicure to venmo her tip. (Just fyi they have a counter of venmo barcodes with the names of those who attended you!) I gave her a $10 tip which resulted the total to be $113 of my whole pedicure.
I would suggest the salon in organizing their way of handling money if dishonesty is going to take role in that place.
Have the cashiers handle in charging the service and have those who do the pedicure away from there!
And if that doesn't take in effect well at least explain why $87 (type of pedicure/cat eye nail polish) + tax, has lead me to $103. It wouldn't take much time and you'll have less people questioning the price after any type of service. Break it down to the person before charging the amount.
I was given the receipt and there was no breakdown of additional services that has led to that amount.
Again, a good environment but sketchy on...
