The owner of this location needs to re-train it's staff in so many areas. I understand that they receive a considerable amount of clothes each day to sort through and it can be alot but they need to be more aware of what they are buying and what they are giving back to people...take the time to actually go thru the clothes. With that said please understand that I took a full container "FULL" of not only freshly washed and dried items but neatly folded and organized for then to go thru...I did not just throw them in a trash bag okay...every single item in this bin was name brand, in style, and desirable and I chose to consign here bc I wanted someone to be able to really enjoy these higher end items and be able to afford them and do something nice. Y giving back in a sense not for the money. I was floored absolutely floored when they only kept 2 items out I'd my bin...let me be clear these were name brand items like, Zara, CK, Victoria Secret, Nike, Adidas, Coach, DKNY, and there was not a single stain or sign of wear on ANYTHING in that bin not a single item had been worn more than once I'd not at all and they kept 2 things. I went home and out everything online and sold EVERYTHING in less than 3 hours for a total of $650 dollars okay. So I can honestly say either they just don't go thru bags at all or they need to hire employees and or the owner needs to know that are costing them a significant loss of money daily bc not only did they pass on everything and then some of more than desirable items w the explanation that my things showed signs of wear and staining lol these are items that have never been worn w the tags washed and folded people....but they are also cheating their customers from having the experience of being able to afford clothes that they feel good about wearing. They 100% will take a $3 dollar sequined stripper dress or a shitty faded concert shirt or a Phillies shirt over name brand w tags and absolutely brand new items worth over $600 bucks. Oh and their pricing system is so ridiculous that it's scary...I was shocked carrying my bin out of there and kept thinking about how much money they must cost the...
Read moreI’m sorry to have to write this review, but there is a the lack of communication about their policies, a glitch in the computerized system that they use, and poor customer service skills. A few days before Christmas, I dropped off two bags of stuff at this store. I followed the prompts on their computer, put in my phone number and email, and selected the “just text me when it’s been ready” option, since they seemed pretty busy. I assumed this meant in a day or two. No where in this prompt did I see anything that said that store policy is that you MUST pick up the same day you drop off, or you forfeit your money.
After two weeks of waiting, I finally called only to find out that their computer did not save the phone number I put in and they had instead contacted an old house phone number that I haven’t used in years. And on top of it, they donated my stuff and I would not be receiving the money they would have given me.
While the woman on the phone was trying to be nice, I was basically told it’s my fault for not understanding the same day pickup policy, even though none of their employees mentioned this to me at time of drop off. Yes, the receipt says “same day pickup”. I assumed this meant the same day as the day they contact you for pickup. All of this could have been avoided if their computer had contacted the phone number I entered, instead of reverting to an unused number, if they had emailed me, or if their employees had mentioned their same day pickup policy.
I will not be going to any Plato’s closets again after this. Their “customer is always wrong” approach to handling this issue was...
Read moreI walked in hoping to be greeted with a smile, I stood at the counter shopping for hand bags because that is where they were behind the counter, and kids behind the counter not doing anything so they started looking at me and then started giggling, I have a handicap and my feelings were hurt so bad. So I asked her it is okay to shop right ,so she and employees laughed like something was really funny looking making fun, so I'm talking to her and she was very rude, store had a bad smell as if rats were going to run out across the floor, people were complaining as well, they are very unprofessional and unhelpful, the state or Osha needs to be called it is very unsafe store security pens are laying all over the floor matter a fact i found one sticking in my shoe it almost pierced my foot my friend got sick from the smell. I heard all kinds of bad complaints about the bad customer service and they don't value their customers I told the so called Manger and she took the side of her employees, and I am not one who curses someone out. I will not be returning to this store. If I could rate this store a zero I would. I was very disappointed with the customer service and I was very dissatisfied tone in her voice was very loud as if she wanted everyone in the store to know what was being said no privacy of my discussion or following up to hipaa law. This store no one ever cleaning door knob and windows are very dirty especially with this covid disclosure going around .very...
