Jett and Monkey's — Local services in Des Moines

I've been in this store a few times and appreciate the variety of items here. Yes it is pricey, but I always find something I don''t find other places.

The last time I was in, I came with my dog. She had her bright red vest on that says "DO NOT PET" in bold lettering, because she was working. As I browsed the store, the woman working there brought her unleashed dog out from behind the counter and led it to my dog. She did not ask if it was ok bring her dog over to mine (for all she knew my dog could be reactive), or acknowledge me in any way. The whole situation was bizarre and super unsettling. I would expect anyone in the dog industry to know better and to always ask for consent, especially when a dog is wearing a vest that...

Had a wonderful experience here today! I'm so glad I chose to come here vs a big name store. The ladies inside the shop were so helpful. I was purchasing a harness for my dog and she put it on my dog and even let us try it out on a walk before I bought it. They had all kinds of cool treats and toys and even a water dish outside for all the dogs. I will definitely be back! I'm a first time dog owner so the help today was greatly appreciated! I spent way more money than I intended too. Just so much neat stuff for dogs!!

If you have a dog, this is the place to go! This store offers unique products that you can’t find in traditional “large chain” pet stores, which is why I love it so much. The products are priced well for the quality and the quality is well beyond what you would find at large chain stores as well. The person working was very helpful and made my dog feel right at home. This will definitely be the place I go to...
