The clothes are beautiful, but they need to train their employees better on their return policies. Two of My daughters shop here also, so I had to return a few items. TWICE now when returning an online purchase, the employee looked at Me like I had two heads. Most stores have an automated system that looks up items by Your e-mail or phone. Carter’s store only needs a phone # and can look up any purchase without a receipt.
This place seems like it is trapped in the 90’s. When I tried to return an online purchase from just two weeks ago, the young employee just froze. I told her I was having trouble finding the e-mail. She had My account in the system, but literally just sat there staring at Me with no instructions??? I asked her what was wrong and she said “there is a sale price and a regular price, I don’t know which one?” Then she just quickly told Me to swipe My debit card and gave Me full price back (which is what I paid and I told her that) Very strange transaction and I have never seen this behavior elsewhere.
We looked around and found one more item too buy. I asked the next person what may have happened and she said “oh that is because You have to get a manager for online returns in the system.” Sounds like things are not going as they are meant to be...

While in line for the firing room, to try on the dresses, I over heard a blonde, young lady offering a customer and her young daughter her personal discount. She said she would purchase the clothes for them and use her own store discount. After trying on the dresses we approached her to ask if they had a specific size in wedges I loved. To which she said “I’ve sold them all”, without bothering to check or offer any other options. I didn’t appreciate the customer service received by the first associate, especially after I spent over $200 at this location. Which doesn’t include the online purchase I made. As I found that odd I decided to find another employee, James. James was extremely helpful and actually went and checked to see if there was any available. Read moreFirst time I was in the store. Love the vibe and the setup of the store...its beautiful. It seemed a little expensive but the quality seemed great. The staff was extremely helpful. Love the great assortment of merchandise. I specially liked the various art frames they had in the store. Loved the sayings. I also found a small selection of dog/cat merchandise. Very cute. The fitting rooms seemed really nice and beautiful. I did wish they would expand on their size selection for their clothes.
I would recommend they have bags for big items. I bought one of the bigger art pieces and they didn’t have a bag for me to take the item. Although they were nice and offered to wrap the item with gift paper. That was very nice and thoughtful. Made up for not having a bag.
