ALDI — Local services in DeSoto

To tell you the truth this is not my go-to Aldi store. I only go to the store when I visit the Tom Thumb across the street (which is not my go-to Tom Thumb supermarket) or I have other business to attend to in that area.

This is sort of a hit or miss Aldi for me. I have visited this store a couple of times recently very soon after it opened at 9:00 a.m. And it just seems strange that the restocking doesn't seem to begin until the doors are open. So when I get there there's lots of blank space on the shelves, in the cooler, and on the meat aisle.

However, it is the typical Aldi and the fact that is clean. But the Aldi Finds aisle is very limited in new inventory and short in length. And there is an additional shelf space set aside for past Aldi Finds that is junky in appearance and visually unappealing (this seems like the norm).

This Aldi is the type of store that I only visit because I can't find whatever it is I am looking for anywhere else. Consequently, this Aldi does not get much of my business. It is not the worst Aldi I have shopped but it is certainly a far cry from being...

We love Aldi. Kind of disappointed about the Winking Owl sweet red. It used to have a Cork, now it comes with a screw cap..the taste is not delicious as it used to be, it is more like a diluted taste. We have to find something else.

Update Oct 2024: We always buy golden butter potatoes. Never had a problem. Now we had twice with in six weeks two bad packs. The potatoes no longer are buttery, but watery. What happened? The produce in general, even refrisgeratored, are spoiling very quickly, like within three-four days. It seems the concentration is more on all the Chinese production sales. But this store is way to small for all this. Aldi, please go back where you used to be and sell us good quality of groceries! Subsequently we no longer buy certain merchandise at Aldi. Our spending at Aldi is pretty much cut in half. We are truly sad about this, because we used to love Aldi so much. Hopefully someone from the corporate office is...

I like the fact that they are always very well stocked. 👍 The aisles are wide enough👍 They offer bags to purchase for 10 cents a piece but they are definitely reusable. ✔👍👀although I always use them only once 😁 The restrooms here are clean 👍 Alot of parking spaces available👍 If you get a chance to stop by here try there chocolate cake I will take a picture and show you all this delicious cake. 👍👍👍👍
