honest review. The food good, the customer service was 10/10. But it wasn't as amazing as the other 150 reviews make it seem tbh. Its not really fusion, the marketing and aesthetic online makes it seem like Asian and African fusion, but the only thing Asian is the names of the food. The food was a different take on Nigerien cuisine, that's all it is. Just because you put instant ramen and Nigerian beef and chicken in a plate I don't think really makes it fusion.
The negatives: The Pricing. this food imo is a bit too expensive for what it is. I paid $27 for a rice bowl with chicken and rice. I only paid it because I wanted to try something different. But at that price point there's just better value food at actual restaurants. And in the long run I could've gotten multiple meals from any other rice bowl meat places for the same price i.e. Chipotle, Cava, Panda Express, most any poki place. If they can get this bowl to cost at least $15-$16 total idk how long that could last.
The flavor isn't distinct enough. I had trouble differentiating the 2 side sauces. The only thing differentiating the chicken and beef was the texture. the vegetables were mid. And if you're gonna make Jollof rice make it slap. There is no Asian flavor in this whatsoever, I would've liked that. Maybe try a teriyaki beef with jollof. The lake of distinct flavoring is the problem. Its trying so hard to not step on the different flavors that they all just mush together and the flavor ends up not amazing. But just average.
Don't be afraid to go all the way on the flavors. You wanna do fusion do fusion all the way. give me strong Asian flavors and African flavors together. Please don't weaken the flavor. There's so much that can compliment. And if you can't do the fusion thing just make some bomb Nigerian food.
Also PLEASE OFFER SAMOSA'S!!!

Read moreMenu Six is an absolute game-changer! My son and I came in because my wife and I craving some authentic flavors, and we were completely blown away.
We ordered the beef, chicken, and jollof bowl, and it was pure perfection. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, and the chicken was so juicy. But the real star of the show was the jollof rice. It was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. My wife, who is usually very picky, took one bite and said it was "wicked good!!!"—and trust me, she's not wrong.
The service was also fantastic. Our server was attentive and made some excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a date night or a meal with friends.
If you're looking for incredible African food that tastes like it was made with love, you HAVE to come to Menu Six. We will absolutely be back to try everything else on the menu.
