We found this place a year ago when we moved into the area and ever since we have been coming over about once or twice a month. We were out of town for the summer and we visited today 8/27/25. It is clear that management changed. We came in around 8pm and there was no one to greet or sit us (the sign outfront said open). Eventually my husband knocked on the kitchen door and after the 3rd knock a young lady came out. We asked if they were open and she had to look at her phone (assuming she was checking the time) before telling us yes. She proceeded to place disposable silverware in front of us in a wrapped plastic after we had shared we wanted to dine in. We placed our orders and continued chatting amongst ourselves. The young lady started the process of taking the trash out right in the middle of the restaurant by the bar area in front of us. She took it into the kitchen and we got to see the entire process as the kitchen door was never closed. When she came back (after shoving her entire arm/hand in the trash bag) she picks up my pasta dish, without washing her hands and when she placed it in front of me half of her nail was touching my pasta. To top it all off there was a small roach crawling next to my foot ( I squashed it). I know this sounds a bit comical and it was the experience that kept on giving. There are cameras right in front on where we were sitting and I am sure you can see our entire experience documented included my foot stomping the roach. We asked for a manager to cancel our order and we were told there is no manager except on Sundays. This was the most disgusting and enraging experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The food and service used to be great but clearly whomever owns this place now does not care to make money. AVOID IT...
Read moreThis was the worst first experience ever. I ordered a Margherita pizza from this Desoto location and it was incorrect. After eating a few slices, we were trying to understand what was missing and it was the basil. So, the next step was to call this location and see what could be done. The employee, who says he’s the owner, initially said there was nothing he could do, then said to send him a picture to a different number, where he offered a 10% off discount on the next purchase. That wasn’t very accommodating, especially since they messed up the entire pizza. I called the location back the “owner” stated that since the pizza wasn’t whole there was nothing he could do about it. He also mentioned if I came back to the location they would put the basil on the pizza (by that time the pizza would be past cold), it’s over a 20 min drive from my destination. At this point the “owner” was not valuing the customer or customers first experience. And stated that the customer is only “sometimes right”, but we all know that in customer service the customer is ALWAYS right. Now, I spent $30 on two pizzas. One that was a supposed to be a Margherita pizza, (the lady that serviced me stated it was her favorite pizza and recommended it) and the second was great. Now, I could’ve went to little Caesar’s and spent a 2/3 less and got all my toppings, and outstanding customer service. If I could give this location zero stars I would. The “owner” doesn’t value his customers, and I will not be back to this...
Read moreIf you need a place for a small family or friend gathering of about 40 people, this is the place! Conveniently located in Desoto, not far from City Hall, this black-owned restaurant offers a variety of Italian dishes. Last month, I approached the owner to reserve a space for my daughter's high school graduation lunch. We were able to work out a plan for the menu, payed my deposit and I scheduled the date. Please note any additional food requested has to be paid the day of the event.
I was pleasantly surprised and my expectations were exceeded when we arrived. My friend was allowed to bring in a small amount of decorations early for setup before the guests arrived. When we walked in, we were served our meal—spaghetti with meat sauce, broccoli, garlic bread, and a drink—within minutes, all accompanied by soft jazz music playing in the background.
Their service was excellent, and I was glad I did not need to deal with renting a facility, bringing in food, drinks, seating arrangements, etc. We gathered, blessed the food, ate, took pictures, cleaned up the decorations we brought, and left within two hours. I highly recommend this restaurant not only for small events but also for individual lunch or dinner needs. I will definitely be a...
