I am deeply disappointed after my recent visit to Perham's Oasis Travel Plaza to purchase a fishing license. The staff member assigned to assist us was not only unprepared but displayed a significant lack of understanding of the basic procedures. He incorrectly tried to process our licenses individually, overlooking the married couple's discount which is a clear benefit we were entitled to. His conduct during the process—marked by grunts and visible frustration—was far from professional and did little to inspire confidence.
The situation escalated when errors were made regarding the license type and validity dates, and a second request for our IDs was made, which I found unnecessary and intrusive given the already fraught interaction. This not only wasted our time ALMOST AN HOUR OF MY TIME... but also compromised what should have been a straightforward transaction.
It is essential for the Oasis travel Plaza to address these service shortcomings immediately. Future customers deserve a smooth, respectful, and competent handling of their needs—qualities that were conspicuously absent during my visit.
I urge potential customers to consider this experience when choosing where to obtain their licenses, and I hope the management takes swift action to rectify these issues.
