Central Market — Local services in Perham

Very impressed with this store! We have a cabin nearby and this is the closest grocery store. We found the prices to fluctuate from city groceries BUT the meat and breads are beyond compare! We heard a deal on bratts and had to stop to grab some as it was an amazing deal. Upon looking we found more great deals all over the store! (The store is well kept and stocked!!). I couldnt find the bratts mentioned in the deal one radio- Upon asking the staff she asked how I knew the deal as it had expired the day prior- in telling het I had just heard it on the tadio she said there was no way she wouldnt give me the deal and was pleasant and kind as anyone can get! What? Really? Cudos to the meat dept mgr! She is a top notch individual and meets standards beyond any where! She couldve said sorry but that was yesterday- but no she didnt hesitate and packaged the bratts with the deal price! Just saying something so simple and kind speaks volumes and will forever! This grocery has gas; lottery; deli; fresh meats; water jug filler; atm; pharmacy; everything! Good job and happy summer! We will continue...

We used the Shop Central pick up service in Detroit Lakes and after getting home and unpacking the groceries, I noticed that the lid was off of a deli bacon ranch pasta salad. Another deli item was sitting in the salad, not to mention the mess it made. The label they had attempted to attach to the lid was half peeled off and stuck to the inside of the bag it was in. The lid was probably never seated properly to begin with. Mistakes happen so I called the store to get a credit but was told that I would have to return the item with the receipt into the store for a refund. I explained It's a 30 minute drive and the reason I used the service in the 1st place was to avoid going in and save some time. The rest of the stuff was great. New to the area so thought we would check out this grocery store. We do not have a grocery store near us so this was about a 45 minute drive. Spent $180 on groceries to last us a couple of weeks since we can’t make that drive very often. Seemed a little pricey but we were okay with that since we were able to get everything in one stop. Once we were home and were unloading our stuff I noticed that many of the products were expired. This was extremely disappointing. Even frozen stuff that should never even get close to being able to expire in a grocery store. So upset that I wasted my money and will not be returning to this store.
