Budget Host Perham Oasis Inn — Hotel in Detroit Lakes

Week 1: sink doesn't work. Shower doesn't drain. Coworker in room 1 doesn't have hot water.

Week 2: can't check in until after midnight because rooms haven't been cleaned. Coworker's room is half cleaned. I'm in room 1 now... No hot water.

Tiny towels, too-few pillows. AC leaks into the room. Upholstery is disgusting.

I travel for work and have for twenty years. This is my worst experience with a motel ever.

Edit: Day 3. My cold shower warmed up half way through! By "warmed up" I mean, unfortunately, "became scalding," for about ten seconds, before going back to ice cold.

My coworker woke up with pink eye. I can't say with any certainty that the pillows did it, but neither can I say that they didn't.

Edit 2: Day 4. When I wake up in the morning, two things are always true of me: I am angry, and I am cold. I don't know why I always wake up cold and angry, but I have since I was a child. Let me tell you, hopping into a cold shower does not help.

The AC didn't work when I returned at the end of the day, and apparently that was enough to get them to move me to a new room. The new room had hot water. And sand/dirt between the bed sheets. I'm checking out and never...

Was accused of having pets there once when I seen a guy walk 2 pitbulls out of 1 room right to the other room I was staying in. I think the next room I need will be at the super 8 or something better,...
