horribble I wouldn’t even give the 1 star but had no choice to leave a review. The stores location is perham and the “supposed” owners first name is Erik, we bought my daughter a brand new iPhone XR. ( ordered online through Verizon) from day one of using said phone their was issues. The phone kept glitching. So we were told to take the phone to the closest Verizon store and see if we could be helped. So my daughter took it to the Verizon location in Perham MN, where we live. So the young ladies (Sara being one of them) proceeded to go through the troubleshooting process, which we were told multiple times that was needed to be done first before customer service could assist us. They proceeded to upload her data so they could delete(factory reset) her phone. Now mind you NEVER were we told that they would be charging us a service fee. They proceeded to go through this process multiple times and spent a good 3 hours troubleshooting before finally connecting us with customer service, who multiple times told us again that we had to go through this troubleshooting process before anything else could be done. Finally it was decided the phone was defective and we would need to take it to a corporate store to have it exchanged for a new phone. As we were leaving Sara told us again that once we had the new phone to just bring it in to the perham location and she would transfer my daughters data back onto her new phone “NO PROBLEM”. NEVER said I’ll have to charge you. So a few days later , and a two hour drive, my daughter gets a replacement phone, she takes her phone in to Sara at the perham location during my daughters lunch break (she works at DQ) Sara tells her she was a little busy at the moment but she could leave it there and she would get it transferred and my daughter could pick it up later. Again never told her she was going to charge her. So my daughter goes back and Sara says ERik ( the owner of the perham and wadena. locations, their are a few more he owns but I’m not positive what the locations are) said she has to charge her $20, now to you or me $20 is not a whole lot of money, but to my 18 year old straight a student who works her butt off for what little she has, $20 is a lot. So not thinking she has a choice she pays it and calls me. Now I go in to ask why the heck she is even getting charged for troubleshooting a defective phone (and not even resolving the issue itself) in the first place and I get referred to call Erik, so I do. And let me tell you he is a very smug pos! Tells me since we didn’t purchase the phone through his store that he has to charge us something for helping, says if he didn’t his store wouldn’t make any money. I then told him we would never spend our money at any of his locations if this is how he treats his customers, and he proceeded to laugh and list off the locations he owns. Now let me remind you he nor did Sara EVER say we would be charged a service fee at all. Until after everything was done. Now she wasn’t getting a new phone for the fun of it, she already had a new phone that didn’t work. So please tell me why robbing a hard working teenager just so his store could make money is acceptable? Now I understand this location is not a corporate location but none the less the name at the front of that store is still VERIZON!!!!!! This is not acceptable. My family spends ALOT of money through Verizon every year. This is most definitely very...
Read morePoor customer service. Every time I've been in this store (4-5 times in past 1-2 years), there's people being waited on, and people standing and waiting for help. The people behind the desk completely ignore any customers waiting. How hard would it be to make eye contact and say "sorry for the wait, we'll be with you as soon as possible"? Nothing. No indication how long the wait could be, just nothing. We've paid a lot of money to Verizon over the years, so it's definitely not a case of getting what you pay for. I really can't wait for some competition here for mobile service, because we'll be done here in a heartbeat...
Read moreI started a new business plan and was told by Kierstin the sales manager I would get my IPhone 16 as a new business promotion. I also traded in an older Iphone to upgrade to the IPhone 14 and that was suppose to be a straight trade with no money owed on the IPhone 14. Needless to say non of those devices were on a “promotion” and I’m paying for both of them. I came in to start a new business plan but the sales person talked me into upgrading all phones. I had my others all paid off, and would not have done this if it resulted in me having to make payments on 2 iPhones. Be carful they are deceitful...
