I joined and paid for an entire year with a personal trainer at the Dilworth gym. Due to pandemic shut down I had to sign up at a Fargo location. I have asked for a refund but they refuse to give it to me. I missed the refund policy by a couple of days so they will not even consider my request. They never once asked why I wanted a refund and go right to the “contract dates” that I was never informed of. My reasoning is that there is zero security for your personal belongings and during a pandemic I just don’t want to go to a gym, trusting their cleaning habits. Don’t ever ask to speak to an owner, Richard will not let you, nor will he reach out you unless via email. He has the trainer reach out to you. Now I have a trainer that I paid over $2000 up front and I don’t even have a membership. They are willing to work with extending the time with my trainer but then I have to yet pay them more money to just be able to walk in the club. Ironically the front door was open, not secure the first two weeks I tried them out. That brings up my second reason why I wanted out. There is no way for you to secure your valuables. It’s either leave it in the lobby unattended or leave it in your car. This was at a period where gyms in the FM area were having break ins in the cars in the parking lot.
I suggest if you’ve read this this far to not give anytime fitness anywhere your money. By the way, I was told that if you only use the excercize equipment there and not get a trainer that you’d be wasting your...
Read moreThis membership was harder to cancel than the rent on my apartment!! I've wasted hundreds of dollars, literally a paycheck's worth of money on a gym I don't use. Save yourself & your credit card & do business elsewhere.
At my gym in my hometown, I cancelled my membership by slipping a note under her door of her office with my last month's payment. Anytime fitness? I had to go to the post office, send them a certified letter, and that would have been my 30-day notice if I hadn't scrambled to get an immediate cancellation approved. But that's JUST the membership. That didn't cancel the personal training sessions! That was a whole other shenanigan, where I have to sign a different contract that would begin a separate 30-day notice. No immediate cancellation was offered there.
It would be nice if clients could get a notice when their payments are about to auto-renew, and give clear instructions on how to cancel it in time. But I guess that wouldn't have gotten them the hundreds of dollars they are taking from me.
Do yourself a favor & take your...
Read moreDo not join this qym-they pull a bait and switch scheme. Do not give them your credit card as they will charge hundreds of unauthorized charges on it even though they tell you they have removed the card from their system. What they tell you and what they do are 2 different things. This is a franchise organization so if you want to switch to another location you are screwed. This is the worst organization I have ever dealt with, They do not answer their phones, you get an answering machine. Hopefully some day they will call me back. I will be contacting an attorney in the near future and canceling my credit card so that they can no longer charge me for things I have not gotten. Check their reviews online before you even think about them, I wish I would have. Hind...
