Took my wife's car in to have a head unit installed. Simple install. Nothing complicated. When I picked up the car, the AIRBAG Warning light was on. I called and the guy told me it just needed to "cycle itself" because he had to unplug the warning light.

Got home and looked at the invoice and noticed that he charged me $150.00 for a steering wheel control that Walmart and Amazon both sell for $28.00. I trusted that he wouldn't gouge me so I didn't ask the price.

4 weeks and 1500 miles later and the AIRBAG light was still on. I was about to trade in the car so I called him and let him know. His only response was that it should've recycled and to take it to the dealer. No mention of him paying to fix what he caused, etc.

The dealer quoted me $150 just to look at it. Everything I read online said it was a seat sensor that can be blown if wires behind the dash get shorted.

When I got there to trade the vehicle my value was lowered by $500.00. This guy's error cost me $500.00 in trade value on my car.

I'm filing in District Court today to at least get back the money I paid him to do the install. I'm out over $750.00 but all I want back is my $250.00 for the install.

I hate being ripped off. People need to take accountability for...

Do NOT trust this shop with your vehicle! I was quoted a price of $159 to install a head unit in my 2008 Ford F-450. This head unit is the Ford Factory head unit that is made for my year and model truck, and Autoworks Inc is the installer Ford sends their head-unit installs to so I made the mistake of assuming they would have the ability to install this head-unit no problem. After dropping my truck off I received a phone call from Steve, the owner of Autoworks Inc, a few hours later informing me that not only could he not figure out how to install my head-unit/nav system, but he had already spent three hours on it and would not spend any more of his time/finish the job and I was to pick my truck up immediately uncompleted. When I arrived not only did Steve charge me $159 despite the fact that my install was not even close to complete, but when I got in my truck to drive it home I saw that they had drilled a hole in my dashboard (without my permission) and pulled two usb ports and left them dangling from the hole in my dash! Long story short, unless you want to give this business your money and have them ruin your truck and not complete the job, I would recommend...

I had been a returning customer for almost 10years. I had a sub installed and when I checked on it while I was still there I noticed trash from the work that was done was left behind. No worries right? I went back to the garage to ask to use the trash can and the red headed guy nodded yes.
