Butterfield Plaza — Local services in Downers Grove

Went there to go to the Xfinity store. It's a very nice Plaza. The parking was a little tight. As for the store I was in, the atmosphere was pleasant. I just came at the wrong of day. I came.right at lunch. When I went in they were taking names in the order you came in. It was going to be a 15 -30 minute wait to be seen by a rep. I told the lady at the front desk that I didn't have the time to wait that long for a rep. She asked if she could call me back at a later time that day to go over what services I needed for my new apt. She was very good and I took a package deal that I can aford. The shops in butterfield plaza are good, but they get their own review. As for the shopping area itself- they have done some really nice landscaping and in the spring it certainly is as appealing as a strip mall off a major road can be. The parking situation, however, is abysmal. There are plenty of spaces, but it is usually congested, pedestrians crossing from the stores to the lot often hold up vehicles as they one by one walk across, and stop signs are located at largely unhelpful intervals. No real solution, but it is in my top 3 worst...

The parking lot is a little unusual, but the mall has a good selection and mix of stores and services. I went specifically to Towne Eye Care, as the reviews were off the charts vs Lens Crafters, which is also in the same mall. The doctor and her staff at Towne Eye Care were superb. State of the art modern equipment for a most comprehensive eye exam. Outstanding and unique selection of eye glass frames from all over the world. Yes, it is more money than Lens Crafters, but to me it was worth it. An...
