For being my first time trying Uzbekistan🇺🇿 food & listen to music, I am truly impressed!!
I had the 'Tashkent Plov Pilaf/Лов' plate🍽: Traditional uzbek dish made with meat, rice🍚 and carrots🥕. 2 flavored can sodas: fruit punch & watermelon🍉, & a 'Medovik Honey🍯 cake🍰'😋.
Food: The food was excellent! The rice was very soft, meat was very juicy & tender. Besides the carrots I think it had small type of raisins or prunes of some sort, and possibly anise spice. (It was savory & sweet 'but not too sweet' for it to be evenly balanced & tasteful throughout every bite!).
That honey cake is so good I can eat several of those in one setting (which coincidental I bought me 4 cakes to go; 2 for me and 1 each for my mom & sister). It is very soft & moist!!😋
Atmosphere: The interior is very spacious, but it did kinda look a little bland, with the color white paint being the majority of the walls, but the finer small details decorated throughout the light fixtures gave the place an exotic feel.
Service: Above & Beyond!! That's what I have to say about the service of the waiters!
There is a couple of particular waiters I would like to extend my gratitude towards, first I must say that I feel compelled to extend a special thank you. For which these two young gentleman exemplified great service that truly stands out above your average waiter. There respectful, kind, and pleasant demeanor enhanced my dining experience significantly. While the food was undeniably delicious😋, it was their exceptional service that truly warranted praise. There dedication & professionalism added a memorable touch to my meal, leaving me with a positive impression that will be cherished!
One of the waiters was even able to change the music that was playing on the tv (YouTube) too an unfamiliar authentic traditional Uzbekistan🇺🇿 music while I was enjoying my meal; which gave it more of an authentic seating experience. The music in question is that of an '70s folk rock band called 'Yella' (Uzbek🇺🇿: Ялла, Yalla). The waiter even recommended me a list of a few more singer🎤👨🎤/groups🥁🎸, (I will no doubt be looking for the discography💿 of these bands!) I enjoy discovering new sounds from all over the world🌏. So a BIG Thank You to the waiter for those lovely music...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant twice for lunch, and I must say that both occasions left me thoroughly impressed. From the delicious food to the exceptional service, this place truly deserves a 5-star rating!
One of the standout features of this restaurant is their commitment to offering halal meat options. As someone who follows a halal diet, I greatly appreciate their attention to this detail. It's wonderful to have a place that caters to diverse dietary needs.
Now, let's talk about the food itself. On both visits, I was blown away by the incredible flavors and quality of the dishes. However, one item that truly stood out for me was the lamb soup. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the tender pieces of lamb added a delightful richness to every spoonful. It was a true culinary delight!
Aside from the outstanding food, the service provided by the staff was impeccable. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
The restaurant itself has a welcoming and cozy ambiance, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends, family, or even for a solo lunch break. The cleanliness and attention to detail further added to the overall positive experience.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're seeking halal options or simply craving delicious food, this establishment is sure to exceed your expectations. The lamb soup is an absolute must-try!
Thank you to the entire team for consistently delivering top-notch service and culinary excellence. I will undoubtedly be returning for more delightful meals...
Read moreWow what a find. First time trying both Anjir and Uzbek cuisine in general. The food was great and the staff was kind, attentive and informative. The atmosphere was very peaceful and clean.
I ordered the Manti Beef, Mastava Soup, Lyulya Kebab and Fruit Kompot. The Fruit Kompot was refreshing and not overly sweet at all. Be aware, it only comes in the jug size and may be too much for a single person. The Manti Beef was piping hot so be careful, but very flavorful with tender beef and a side of sour cream to balance the flavors. The Mastava soup had a light and amazingly tasty broth that was soothing and refreshing at the same time. The chunks of meat were tender as well and the soup was perfect for dipping the bread. The Lyulya kebab was some of the juiciest meat I’ve ever had with good flavor and easily one of the best kebabs I’ve ever had. The dish does only come with a single kebab, side of onions and thin Lavash like bread however the kebab was quite large making up for only getting one. Despite the size the consistency of the doneness and juiciness of the meat was very much there throughout the entire kebab. I did order a side of rice to complement the kebab. The kebab itself was also much larger than others I’ve had in the past making it
Many entree options seem to come without rice or a side dish. This may be an aspect of Uzbek cuisine or unique to Anjir but the prices do fairly match what you’re getting.
The pictures in the menu are accurate and depict exactly what you’ll get. The staff is very friendly with my waitress asking if it was my first time and patiently explaining the dishes on their menu. This was definitely a great find and I will be...
