Come here fairly regularly and I appreciate the inventory normally find the more obscure nostalgic stuff I look for here! And the collection of Horror Figures blows the other shops in this chain I go to wayyyy out the park. My issue however isn't with what's paid for items I sell there, often times I just want store credit anyway because I find things to buy after turning items in to be processed. My issue occurred a couple weeks ago when I attempted to turn in a few seasons of Southpark,a few Jay and Silent Bob DVDs, and a couple other cult films in good shape the longhaired kid with glasses behind the counter turned it all away saying it was too common? So than I told my fiance about this we waited a week and my more attractive better half came to deal with the same long haired boy and relieved 20 dollars for the bag save 1 film. I find it hard to believe that the items are just suddenly less common a week later when a pretty girl walked into your store? They also turn away alot more materials than other locations in general this specific store seems pretty uninterested in New inventory. I sold my PS4 and games recently after upgrading systems these guys wanted nothing to do with it wound up getting about 200 for my ps4 at another location and 115 for the games. I will shop here constantly but I agree with the reviews saying this is a crappie location to sell or trade in at the guys at the counter are pretty rude and seem annoyed by trade in's. I will end saying their prices they buy at make sense considering the cost of labeling and having it take up shelf life. Maybe you guys just get too many people trying to sell not enough trying to buy at this location.I just won't be selling to you again and hope less people do as well so you can get rid of your...
Read moreI’ve got mixed feelings on this disc replay.
The good: Good stock of all sorts of media including some rare stuff. Their disc resurfacing machine must be a good one because I have better than average results having them resurface discs for me. Their prices are reasonable for the most part and most of their staff is very friendly.
The bad: They have a few tendencies that come across as the store being cheap or frugal compared to other similar stores I’ve been to. Other stores have told me if I let them know a resurfaced disc didn’t work then they would give me store credit for the ones that didn’t (not always necessary but nice when you bring in 40 discs and 2-3 or so end up still not working). They also have a section of as-is disc only games in paper sleeves. $4 each and buy 2 get 1 free is a great deal but with a big catch. The as-is part means these discs are not guaranteed to work and will not be refunded if they don’t. I’ve seen similar sections in other stores with a twist. The game is not guaranteed to work as the staff keep it cheep by not testing or resurfacing it but if the customer finds it doesn’t work and brings to back in they’ll take it and allow the customer to try again from the same box so the customer eventually ends up with something that works.
I’ve probably spent $200 there over the past month and if I were to add up the store credit I would have expected to receive from other stores from non-working product it would only add up to about $10-15. Not the end of the world but it makes me miss the stores I used to shop at that are much farther away.
I’ll be shopping there again for sure but I’m in no rush to
Edit: Review increased to 5 stars after owner's response. Thanks...
Read moreVery cool store has a ton of retro and old school games. There's so many cool items from back in the days when I was just a little kid. Once these stores are gone, I think most people don't understand that we will never ever see a reproduction of the original gaming systems, movie disks and games, especially cartridges. We live in a world where things are changing so quickly, we will never own a physical copy of music, movies and video games. Everything will eventually be digital in the cloud and not tangible. I've said this com8ng as far back in the early EARLY 90's and everyone said nope that will never happen, well here we are climbing fast to that point of CLOUD everything. **So yes Disk Replay is a great store with excellent customer service and discounts. The store respects History and I love it. The store associates were kind enough to say "hey if you don't find something your looking for feel free to ask us and we can help locate an item, or hit us up on Facebook via messaging to see if we have what your looking for from systems, to movies and games - even a simple phone call to the store they'll help their customers 😊. I did by a lots of 3DS games because this system will never be reproduced especially with Nintendo and my grandchildren have to experience these cool gaming devices....
