Mattress Firm Lombard — Hotel in Lombard

Wonderful (and unexpected) shopping experience at the Lombard Mattressfirm. I live right in the apartment complex next door, and had just gotten something to eat at Pinched. On my walk home, I decided to just step into Mattressfirm, do a quick circle to browse (as I was only mildly interested in getting a new mattress), and then be on my way. However, upon entering the store, I was immediately greeted, and welcomed with a friendly hello, by Muhammad Madni. I told Muhammad that I was just browsing, and so we he said sure no problem, and just made small talk... until eventually I asked questions regarding the mattresses. Muhammad did not simply answer ALL of my questions... he provided me a 1st hand experience for ALL of my questions... so I could make my own informed decisions. He guided me to lay on all mattresses as he shared his own experiences and knowledge of the products, and both interactively and visually showed me the differences between each type and brand, until finally I was sold! I can honestly say, I had zero expectation to buy a new mattress and adjustable frame this night, and the number one reason was Muhammad’s excellent personality, extensive product knowledge, and masterful salesmanship (in a good way) to give me a truly comfortable and great buying experience. We worked with a wonderful sales associate, Lauren. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. We chose the PressureSmart™ 2.0 Plush Pillow Top 13.75" Mattress with free adjustable base. So far, the mattress is a wonderful choice for us as side sleepers. The only negative we see so far (it's only been two nights) is that it seems to be higher in the middle and we roll towards the edges, but hopefully, that will subside as the mattress settles in. Additionally, we've always used a box spring along with our mattress, so using the adjustable base instead allows the bed to sit lower a few inches, so that is taking some time to get used to. I purchased a mattress that I didn’t like and went in to the lombard store to select a different one. When I asked how to make an exchange the store manager said that I had to wait 30 days, it was policy and he absolutely told me that I agreed to it when when I made the online purchase. I went round and round with this guy who would not budge so I finally asked to speak with his boss. His boss agreed to let me select a different mattress. After that he threw more negatives at me stating that I would be charged a restock fee of a $100 and if I wanted to return anything else in my original order there would be a restock fee of $50 for each item. He was probably the most negative sales person I had ever met. To make the story short, somehow come hell or high water, I will be contacting Matress Firm corporate office to complain about the horrible experience I had with their a Lombard IL store.
