Sunset Recycling Center — Local services in Downey

My last experience there was great, the guy who works there now was so nice an hospitable. He was just yhat!!!, very nice patient I didnt feel rushed or stressed, cuz usually I am at these places. I'm gonna go there today , I let you know how it goes.

Well long time I know but I still have to tell you about my visit that day, I still remember, so ok I went there that day it was a different guy & he was BUSY! But he was as nice an polite as ever to each individual I value that cuz there are Too many rude, mean impolite people. I got more for my cans then I'd ever thought. Twice as much very surprising to me that is, but so very happy. The girl in front of me was nice to, when she left on her way out after she went in the market, she brought him chips& a soda he was really thankful an I thought yeah!! right-on so ok I was happy so I left a tip too he gave me a big smile and said thank you , and ofcourse I had to say something but I did want to tell him how polite he was and I smiled and left. I was DEVASTATED the recycling office was open but apparently out of money--just barely--and i accepted a ticket TODAY that should be paid tomorrow.... All i need to do is find that ticket i was handed and show up tomorrow while the wonderful young man who helped me is working. I earned sixteen dollars for GENTLY carrying about the planet enough to collect what others threw away.... UPDATE: I never found the ticket (I must become more selective of the people with whom I "pass the time"!) and, I wasn't able to return the next day. Nevertheless, a few days later the exact same person was working and our transaction was remembered, so I know I got VERY lucky this time. In the future I will treat my receipt like cash or save the recycling.
