The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in Downey

I went to this place because of an app that gives you surprise bags and The guy who gave me the bag (male, glasses, white, curly hair)was really mean and rude. He said to us we had to confirm in front of him or else he wouldn’t give us the bag. He ended up giving us the bag after I told him numerous times that the app says to do it before we get to the place and showing him that I had no way to confirm. Also he gave us less things. There was a lady that was in font of me who came at the same time for the same app and the same bag and she got 6-7 items and we only got 3. And he gave me a stink eye when he gave me the bag( bro gave me an Uncle Ruckus look) This would not be the case with Starbucks It’s the first time I’ve ever been here and I was with my family of 15 (family reunion ) and we were gonna meet up and get something else too but this guys attitude ruined the whole vibe. Forced to give a star to make a review, but the product that I ordered was really good so I gladly give this forced star along with another for the great drink.

However, I find it appalling that a customer friendly Cafe would have a restroom yet tell customers that they list the key. If a key can't be responsibly maintained, maybe this establishment should install a digital code for customers as other places do. This experience will keep me determined never to enter another Coffe and Bean to spend my money. I find both the irresponsibility to maintain the key and the indifferent attitude when expressing this to the customer unacceptable

If you want some beyond diner quality coffee and a little something to go with it, this is a good option. They had a few simple snacks and sweets. The frozen coffee drink was really tasty, but with more charge than I needed late in the afternoon. I am sure they would have done half decaf if I had asked, and it would have been perfect for earlier in the day. It is not a restaurant, nor does it pretend to be. The food is similar in scope to Starbucks, but being a different chain, the offerings are different. There are small tables and comfortable chairs you would expect in a coffee place.
