Patrick, the Verizon Wireless salesman & I, had 40 minutes to Killian as my apps & other info were transferred. We talked about our mutual health issues & other personal stuff. Seems like nowadays, everyone's so uptight about keeping personal stuff private. Mentioned how after the passing of the final parent, not I unusual for "surviving siblings" to go their separate ways. Heard this 12 times mostly from fellow dog owners. Patrick was upfront & honest about giving me the best deal & why. The thing is wish never switched to Xfinity Mobile to save a few bucks each month. Xfinity Mobile used to be OK but now it's become virtually impossible to reach a human being. What happened in my case, an Xfinity Ambassador convinced me to stop using my landline & for the price of the taxes, Xfinity Mobile provided a 2nd smartphone w/ the same phone number as the landline. Already owned my Samsung Android S20 + 5G outright & figured when the S20 died, it would be a simple switch to begin using the Samsung A54 technically still owned by Xfinity for 24 months until it was paid off by Xfinity. My S20 indeed "died" & began using the Xfinity owned A54 which was all sorts of problematic. The last time, I reached an Xfinity Ambassador & explained all the problems experiencing, she said my only option was to buy a new smartphone as the A54 wasn't compatible w/ Xfinity's network. It was the straw that broke the camel's back as tried to change my address using the Xfinity app. By doing so, each time I called Xfinity, the machine hung up on me. Decided to switch back to Verizon Wireless who have stores all over the place versus Xfinity. Since had to purchase a new smartphone anyway, glad to be back w/ Verizon Wireless & today (Friday, August 22nd, 2025), getting Verizon FIOS installed between 1 & 3 PM, already have a landline phone & landline phone number. Called Verizon FIOS & will get $400 off a laptop @ Best Buy. Need to take the A54 back to the nearest Xfinity Store & tell them, Xfinity's history. Not worth the headache. Wish never agreed to get rid of my landline for the problematic A54. C'mon, how is it possible a smartphone provided by Xfinity isn't compatible w// their network? Also, used to have to lie to reach an Xfinity Ambassador. When did it become socially acceptable for machines to hang up on a customer. Yes, I'll be paying more for Verizon Wireless & Verizon FIOS but you pay for what you get like my late...
Read moreFrankly it has been an excruciating process to get my new phone from this store. When I went in they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock, so they ordered it and assured me it would be in by Sunday at the latest and they would call me. I decided to get the phone as a black Friday deal, but I had to go back home on monday (5 hours away) as I was only in the area for Thanksgiving. They assured me the phone would arrive in time.
Sunday came and went, no call. I left for home, called the store, and they said they could ship the phone to me. They said they would call and set it up later that day. A full day passes with no call. I have to call in, they say they need to prepare the phone and they will call back in 15 minutes. 3 hours go by, I have to call again and they finally prepare my phone. At the end of it all they assure me that they will ship the phone and email me a tracking number and that the phone should arrive in 1-2 days.
2 days later, no tracking number and no phone. I call back and they say it should ship and that they will get me a tracking number shortly. Since that last phone call, 1 full day has passed. It has been pulling teeth to get my phone from this store. If the employee had been honest that the phone wouldn't arrive in time, I never would have bought it here. Or, if the employee had been honest about the timeline of getting the phone shipped to me, I wouldn't be as upset.
The employee throughout all of this is named Tushar. He was never outright rude or mean, and this store is probably great for same day purchases. But he clearly will say anything to get me off the phone and delay any work involved with shipping me my phone.
Do not trust any timeline he says. Only purchase something from this store if you can get it and leave with it same day. And if anyone from the store or Verizon read this whole thing - PLEASE SHIP ME MY PHONE AND GIVE ME A...
Read morePatrick was very helpful. I had a bad experience with another company. Patrick spent a lot f time with me and was very helpful with my issues
UPDATE. I went back to store 2 days later. I was having trouble with the phone. I wanted to return it and when they wouldn’t do that, I wanted to cancel my plan. There was a small scratch on the screen so they told me it was in poor condition and I couldn’t exchange it. I said I have lots of Apple products never had this problem with the screen or the other problems. They told me I had to go to the Apple Store and have them check it out. So this past Saturday I had time I set up an appointment with Apple and went to the Willow Grove store. They tested my phone. They showed me test they did on my phone. There were times where I had no Verizon reception on particular days one day I only had 15% connection. That’s why I was dropping calls in my apartment at the back of my apartment. They gave me a printout of all the things that were wrong and they were all carrier related they were causing The problems to my phone. The eSIM card was installed wrong the phone overheats to the point you can’t hold it feels like when you’re out on a sunny day and your skin is burning. The charge doesn’t last all day. I was working yesterday and when I was finishing work, my phone shut off. Needless to say I was not using my phone while I was working. I added the protection plan and I was told by Patrick there was a special that it would be 999 a month. When I got my bills, it’s $19 a month. I am very very, very upset with this store. And Verizon...
