Visiting this video game store was an incredible experience! I can confidently say it's the finest gaming store I've ever been to in my entire life. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the most friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their passion for gaming was evident, and they went out of their way to help me find exactly what I was looking for.
The store's collection is nothing short of impressive. They boast an extensive array of games spanning various platforms, including classics like GameCube, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, Xbox 1, Xbox 360, and even Nintendo Switch games. It's a true paradise for gamers, as they cater to a wide range of preferences and nostalgia.
One of the standout factors about this store is their affordability. The prices for these games are unbelievably reasonable, making it a haven for anyone looking to build their gaming library without breaking the bank. The value for money here is exceptional, and it's clear that they prioritize ensuring gamers can enjoy their favorite titles without financial strain.
While the focus is undeniably on gaming, the store's wisdom in advising customers to purchase everything else online is commendable. This shows their commitment to providing the best possible experience to their patrons, even if it means redirecting them elsewhere for non-gaming products.
In conclusion, my visit to this game store was beyond my expectations. The staff's friendliness, the extensive collection, the affordability, and their honest recommendations collectively make this establishment a standout in the gaming community. If you're a gaming enthusiast like me, this store is an...
Read moreCGR used to be a gaming store that I liked going to every once in a while. I got recommended the store by a GameStop employee, and my mom and I tried it. It was a bit too small for my personal liking, but I enjoyed the store for the selection of games that it offered. They also seem to keep their trade-in credit consistent, which is good.
However, I lost interest when they changed the store layout to put everything in the store behind the counter. I do not like this layout for used video games - unless it comes to higher value titles. When it comes to retro games, I like to inspect them closely and know what I am buying before I buy it. I remember one time when I asked for a copy of Pac-Man World 2 on PS2. Every game here is sealed on the shelf in a plastic bag, which I don’t mind, and they label the games accordingly whether they come “CIB” with the manual and other inserts or they only just have the game. I like that they do this. My game, in particular, did not have the manual. I would have asked to put it back and select another game. However, with this behind-the-counter setup, it feels awkward to ask to do that. It doesn’t really matter that much in the grand scheme of things, but I do like buying games that have the manual included.
I can understand that some people may still enjoy this store and have a better shopping experience than me, so I would still recommend it if you’re into retro gaming. I still think they have a pretty good selection and friendly and knowledgeable staff. However, having everything behind the counter takes away from the...
Read moreNow I will start off saying the prices were very good for the store, but my biggest issue is how nearly everything in the store is behind glass or the counter. I understand the importance of managing all your products and preventing theft especially when half your products are things smaller than potato chips and are worth $40. But literally every game aside from a dwindling bin of 99 cent games were in a display case or behind the counter. It's very difficult to browse for games when they are stacked on top of each other about 6 inches off the ground in a glass display case. It's also very awkward when I'm the only one in the store and I have to ask the bored employee how much their copy of Just Dance 3 for the Xbox 360 costs or if they have any copies of Independence Day for the SEGA Saturn. I couldn't really tell you about how much variety they have or how good the game selection is, as so many games were hidden away underneath other games in display cases. The only thing I can guarantee is they have a lot of Japanese RPGs for the Famicom and Super Famicom, and everything else was out of my view.
If you live in Doylestown or find yourself there, it's worth stopping by. Other than that it's nothing special and you'd be better off buying games on Ebay, at least then you can see everything that's in stock.
Also a minor thing but this place was really humid, like REALLY humid. I went on a partly cloudy day with a high of 85 and I swear it was like a butterfly conservatory in there for some reason. I don't know why it was so humid but I felt it was...
