L&H Couture — Local services in Doylestown

I visited the boutique a little over a month ago. This was the first place i tried on dresses at so I wanted to wait until I had another experience elsewhere before I left a review to see if my experience would compare. (It by far did not) I originally chose this boutique because of their amazing reviews. The boutique is gorgeous and I loved how the appointment was reserved just for me(;however, i did feel at moments I wasnt given enough alone time with my family and friends to talk about each dress I was in.) They have an amazing selection of unique dresses. I took three stars away for a few reasons. 1.) I didnt get a warm vibe from the woman helping us. She didn't even ask me how I met my fiance; but asked questions like what he and I did for a living. 2.) I filled out a piece of paper prior to trying on dresses that had asked about my budget, style, etc. After gathering a handful of dresses we head to the try on room. Then this woman announces this "wild card" that she pulled off the rack after hearing my likes and dislikes about the other dresses... (this dress would turn into my favorite and was almost a "yes"..... this dress ALSO was OUT of my price range.)

I felt so pressured once she saw the excitement in my face with that "over budget" dress. She didnt tell me ONCE that they offered a payment plan, she told me ATLEAST 3x. Then said, quote "don't worry about the price, do you love the dress"? I'm sorry but to me that was the icing on the cake for unprofessionalism.

Wow!! That’s what I have to say!! I needed a dress for my daughters wedding. This place was recommended to me from someone I trust and respect and boy she did me good. I am very tiny and short not always great. I called and spoke with Christina ( I just have no words ) and she was so helpful. I texted her pictures and we set up an appointment. She told me she was going to bring gowns in from her other store. My appointment was so great! I was so overwhelmed with options I had to go back with my husband and mother in law for final decision. Gown ordered. Then I called because my daughter the bride who bought her dress elsewhere needed alterations and I knew Christina mentioned they do this. Well off we went. Our experience was beyond AMAZING and yes she did not buy her dress there and Lucy the seamstress couldn’t of been any sweeter ( who we later found out is the owner) and incredibly talented. My dress had since come in and was many sizes too big and Lucy made it absolutely perfect. She even came in on a Sunday for me to fix one small detail. As a very recent mother of the bride, I am delighted to recommend the superior service and professionalism provided by the representatives at L&H Couture. We worked closely with Krystyne, who was able to access our needs rather quickly as she found the dresses that my daughter and I ultimately wore. I purchased both my rehearsal dress and my dress for the wedding at L&H and my daughter purchased her bridal gown. I liken the experience to that of a more old fashioned style of shopping , where the customer is the center of attention and the stylists bring the possible choices to the client. The excellent seamstress,( Lucy), was amazing. She whipped up sleeves, seemingly out of the air, and added them to my dress to make me more comfortable (rather than wearing it sleeveless). These adjustments made my experience of dress shopping so much more pleasant. I felt like anything was possible!
