Valentine's Day 2024. We, John and I, didn't have any plans until my brother-in-law (Darren) invited us out for dinner, his treat, my choice. After searching on Google, I found The Station, and the hours were listed as open til 11pm. When we arrived, we were told that the kitchen was already closed, due to lack of business. But when we asked about other places being open, the chef reopened the kitchen, just for us. And they did not disappoint! *Food was excellent, service was on point, atmosphere was warm and welcoming, lighting was perfectly balanced...The whole experience was brilliant. *I ordered the Monte Cristo with Sweet Potato Fries. Usually, whenever I get this sandwich at other places, it's too crispy and overly stacked. This one, was perfect, with balanced meats and cheeses, and the bread was toasty with a crisp crust and a semi-crisp middle. And it came with a side of RaspberryJam!!! *John ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, and it must have been deliciously yummy because John rarely cleans his plate. There wasn't much left. I think the only things he packed were a few extra pickles and the sauces. *Darren ordered the Chicken Strips, and even his plate was nearly empty by the time we were done dinner. Which is also rare. *The drinks were also delicious. I can't speak to whatever John and Darren drank, but my drinks were great! I got this non-alcoholic mixed drink with mango and berry puree mixed with soda. When the drink was halfway gone, I topped it with Sprite. I drank it all, it was so yummy!!! *I highly recommend it to everyone. Valentine's 2024 was my very first time eating at this establishment, and I look forward to returning!

We visited this restaurant with a couple of friends after touring a nearby museum. I was quite hungry and excited to dine here, especially given its interesting location. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food, although the service was pleasant and the restaurant itself was appealing. Restaurant Rating: 3/5 Service Rating: 4/5 Food Rating: 2/5 Parking: Free Parking Lot Restaurant: The restaurant is situated in a fascinating location. There’s plenty of seating available, including options in the bar area and outside. Service: Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, which was impressive considering we were a group of ten. She managed the service exceptionally well. Food: We all ordered different dishes as a group, but my girlfriend and I specifically ordered: Blackened Mahi Taco: This dish was disappointing. It was light on flavor, the fish was overcooked, and the tortillas fell apart easily. Poutine Fries: This dish was not good at all. The brisket on top was cold, as if it hadn’t been heated properly. The cheese curds were clearly an afterthought, not even melted properly, and the dish lacked flavor overall. It felt like an insult to traditional poutine dishes from Quebec. When we asked our friends how their food was, the overall feedback was less than impressive. Conclusion: I would not return to this restaurant, as the food was below average. Additionally, it was concerning to see 4-5 staff members taking breaks in the back dining area on the way to the bathroom. It seemed like there was no designated break area for employees, which detracted from the overall experience.

Service was lack luster from the time we entered. No one at the hostess station. 1 person did walk by after a few minutes and said someone would be with you shortly. Come to find out later that was the manager. Maybe she should of helped us. Several workers walked up to the hostess station but did not acknowledge us. I assume they were not the hostess. Then Larry who was on his way out stopped and asked if anyone had helped us. We said no. He stated to say the hostbes would be here in a few, but then cut himself off and said I can seat you. Said pick where ever you like. He was very friendly. As we walked to the table in the bar area I asked about the happy hour since it was 6:45pm and the website showed happy hour till 7pm. He explained that happy hour was over at 6pm and the website was wrong. He apologized and said the change was a few months back but the website had not been updated. That was disappointing since the main reason we came was to have the happy hour. After Larry left us, we had Decklin. Nice young man. Was friendly. I asked him him we could do happy hour since the website said till 7:00pm. He said sure since it was 6:50pm. So we ordered our drinks and food. It did not take long after that to realize Decklin was new / training or not very attentive. When food arrived which was chicken tenders there was nothing eles on the plate. Should of had coleslaw and fries. The plate just had 3 tenders. For $16 I should be getting the rest of the meal. After the food arrived we did not see Decklin much at our table. We were able to flag him down for another beer order. Keep in mind this was not a super busy time. He placed the order and we did not see him for about 15min. We could see our beer get poured by the bar tender and then sit and wait for a server to collect to bring it over. At this point we figured Decklin was new and or forgetful. It took about 10 minutes and then another server brought the beer over and apologized for the delay and she said she was not sure why it took so long. Decklin showed up about 5 min later to the bar area. I flagged him down to get the check. During this time I noticed the manger walk by us she visited several tables but not ours. I was going to say something to her but I had a feeling it may not go anywhere so I waited to voice my thoughts here in this review. We got the check and no happy hour prices were applied. Like I said I was going to talked to the manager but I did not want to be a battle which I felt it could turn into. Overall food was good, service was bad from our Server. Larry was great and the server who brought over our lost beer we are thankful for. When I'm on town again visiting I may give this place another chance but most...

My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place since we are not from the area, and wanted to get dinner before going to Peddler’s Village. First, we get seated and wait 15 minutes without anyone saying they will be with us soon. Then, our server greets us, not saying anything about her delay, mind you it’s a Monday night and this place was not busy. She gets our drink order, brings them back and just drops them off and leaves. Weird because usually servers ask what the customers want to order. We wait even longer to put our appetizers in once she finally comes back and let her know we were still looking over the menu to decide our entree selection. She brings our nachos which were delicious and then disappears. As a previous server myself you ask what entree we want to enter as we are starving! She doesn’t come check on us but can go to a table next to us and walk away (does this multiple times) when she had the opportunity to come check TAKES A SECOND. Finally, when our food is gone she asks how it was not asking about our remaining order needing to be placed. Having to initiate our food order myself asking to place more food she finally puts that in and we soon get our main course. She then asks if we want another beer as happy hour is ending and my boyfriend and I were growing extremely frustrated since we had no idea they had happy hour specials and nothing was mentioned seeing we arrived at this place around 4:30pm. Then we finally finish our food with her never checking and we wait eagerly for the check because at this point I’m pissed. The icing on top of the cake for me was seeing all our plates empty us staring at her she walks by and doesn’t come over. She finally comes back and at this point I just asked for a box and a check and she starts giving an attitude to us. We wanted dessert but the amount of waiting we did due to her was ridiculous. She was not attentive at ALL. I have never had such poor service from a server who has no idea what customer service is and has a horrible attitude. Honestly don’t understand how she has a job. Other than the service the food was absolutely delicious, but the service honestly...

Went there for brunch for Easter. Originally had an 11:15 reservation but needed to change to 1pm. Not a problem. Got there and they guided us to our table. As soon sad we got near the table, we could feel stickiness under our feet! It was awful. I kept wondering if it was just me. Nope everyone of our party of nine felt the stickiness. However w were so hungry we just ignored it. Upon checking breakfast items, it was deemed that the pancakes (only thing my grandson will eat besides French toast and bacon) were hard on the outside and we very oddly shaped. Not round. We checked the french toast also and they were hard also. It looked like they had been there since you opened!! I tried the sausage links and unfortunately most or at least 95% of what was there were hard as in over cooked and had been sitting there for a very long time. My husband had an omelet made. He only ate about a quarter of it as the other 3/4 was NOT COOKED! I went to get some Caesar salad took it back to my table and realized that it was major wilted , again, had been sitting for hours so long that the croutons were extremely wet, drowned in dressing. Our waitress seemed to forget our table at times. It took over 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee and just as long to get water and our iced. I had 4 plates piled in front of me and all she said was sorry, I'll get those plates out of your way soon. It took over 20 mins for her to come back and take them away. The walk each time to the food was horrible because of the sticky flora. Someone at the hostess said you knew thefloor and that you had someone come in and do the floors that day. If that is so, they should be FIRED because the sticky floor definitely put a damper on the food. I was concerned to come there for brunch as we went there last year and it was terrible, but we were told you had just opened and this was your first mothers day, so we thought we wound give you another chance. I was so disappointed this year, I honestly can't say if I will be back based on what happened this year. Just wanted to give you a heads up regarding...
