**Incredibly rude staff with dirty blond hair and glasses.
Was standing off to the side waiting for the line to die down when a "cashier" came up. She pulled people over from the line then I tried to join in. She immediately told me to go back to the end of the line which by now was one person. I asked her if it was OK to stay since no one else seemed to be coming over but she told me I had to go. So I did and as soon as I got to the "line", she called the people over to her lane after one customer. But she hardly waited before she threw her closed up and tried to walk away. Then got irritated when someone new walked up.
Then to top it off, MY cashier got really short when an elderly spanish man tried to ask her a question in spanish. Instead of trying to help or asking someone else for assistance, she made a face and said "I don't speak spanish". Her tone was incredibly rude and slightly racist as she was Caucasian.
This aldis (vineland) has some of the rudest staff I've ever encountered. Don't even get me started on how they yell at people when it's closing time. They will very angrily tell you to stop shopping and go to the front. As if you've personally offended them with your presence.
If this was publix, they would not pressure you to leave. They just wait patiently for you to finish while busying themselves with end of the night tasks. The differences...
Read moreGreat prices, awesome staff, easy in and out shopping. I go here first over Publix.
Edit: a year later I've almost completely replaced Publix for most of our shopping. The produce is top notch. The meat is both a better deal than Sam's Club, and better quality.
Just make sure you bring a quarter with you 🪙
And I can't stress enough how much I value Aldi letting their cashiers sit down. There's no reason to make people stand up for 8hrs a day because of a leftover idea of 'customer respect' or some nonsense.
Edit: google prompted me for an update. The only change worth mentioning is the checkout. There are now six self-checkout stations and typically only one human cashier. While I do roll my eyes at doing it myself I've come to accept that this is how things are done now. I also get to decide how to load my bags, and I can keep all the cold stuff together, etc. The really important bit is that the staff are still SUPER helpful and always come over if there's a problem. I scanned something twice by accident? NBD. Item missing a sku? Totally fixable. Really, I don't mind doing the checkout if there's help nearby should I need it.
Another Google prompted edit: they rearranged the store! I don't think it's for the better or not. It's just different, and now I need to relearn where...
Read moreBest prices, great selection!!! Awesome quality! I only know Aldi from one experience during the pandemic. I ordered delivery and the delivery prices were so outrageous, I connected it to the store.
However, a neighbor in the pool in Orlando told me to give it another try and said they have great prices.
Fast forward my visit to Regency Village (My favorite shopping center in Orlando)---WOW!!! Those avocados that I was buying at Publix between $1.70 and $2.00 is literally 0.69 or $0.89 here! What??? Bags of avocados are $4 versus almost $8 at Publix. They are truthfully about half the price of Publix in just about everything, fruit, vegetables, eggs, chicken.
Salad dressing again, $7 to $8 at Publix, under $3 here. Also great variety of different types of dressing.
They have half gallons of ice cream, again. Overpriced store mentioned about has name brand and generic at $7.09 or $8.00 for a half gallon, here... literally 2.69, cheaper than you would pay for a pint just about anywhere!
I was in absolute amazement when I had three bags of food and it was only $30! It was like stepping into a Time Capsule!!
Even if you don't live near one, I highly recommend you take the drive! Even with the gas prices high, there's no comparison in what you're...
