1 Star – RUINED Our Night. I’ll Never Be Back. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I’ve been to multiple Cheesecake Factory locations across different states, and this one was by far the WORST experience I've ever had — hands down. We came the day before Mother’s Day to celebrate with my husband’s mom. It was supposed to be a nice night out. His parents had a reservation and were already seated when we arrived. From the moment we sat down, they were already upset — and I quickly understood why. The waiter was cold, dismissive, and completely uninterested in providing even the bare minimum of service. My mother-in-law had a drink from the bar earlier and tried to order the same one from him, but he rudely told her, “We don’t have those here,” with zero attempt to help or offer suggestions. When we asked for recommendations, his response? “I don’t know, just check the book.” Seriously? That’s your idea of customer service? Things only got worse. My husband ordered two drinks like he usually does, and I took a small sip. I’m 24 years old — an adult. The waiter came back and aggressively asked if I was drinking it. I said I took a sip, and he demanded my ID. I explained I had switched purses and forgot it. He just stood there awkwardly and said, “Well, next time you can’t do that,” in a tone that made it clear he thought I was trying to pull something shady. We’re grown, we’re paying, and this is how we’re treated? After that, we noticed two other staff members constantly walking past our table, circling like hawks — watching us. Do you know how uncomfortable that is? It felt invasive and honestly humiliating. A manager then came over and said if he saw me drink again, they’d take the drink and reminded us they could “lose their license.” Excuse me? I’m of legal age. If your staff had any professionalism, this wouldn’t even be an issue. It felt like we were being treated like criminals. It didn’t stop there. My mother-in-law never got a second drink because our original server didn’t even bother to check on us once. No refills, no “how’s everything?” — nothing. When our food finally came, it was a disaster. I asked if the pasta I ordered was creamy — the waiter said yes. What I got was a plate of oily, greasy noodles with absolutely no cream in sight. My husband barely touched his food. By that point, the atmosphere was so tense and awkward, no one was even enjoying themselves. To top it all off, they randomly switched our waiter near the end — but by then, the damage was already done. The night was ruined. The service was insulting, the food was awful, and the overall vibe was cold and unwelcoming. We’ve been to countless restaurants — some of them high-end, five-star places — and I’ve never felt this uncomfortable or disrespected. This location needs serious help, starting with customer service training and maybe a reminder that guests come here to enjoy themselves, not to be monitored and disrespected. We left quietly — no scene, no argument and did tell the manager how we felt and that we understood policies and rules but the derive and his service was POOR. we will NEVER be back to...
Read moreMy wife and I went there Wednesday 3/25/2025 at approximately 4:00 pm. The place was fairly empty and we were seated promptly. The server was not the friendliest, but reasonably polite. We ordered an appetizer, Ahi Tuna on crispy rice. It arrived quickly and the quality was good.
As entree my wife ordered an omelet and I ordered the spicy bowtie noodles with chicken. The food took very long to arrive (about 45 minutes), especially given the limited traffic at the time. The quality of the dishes was unacceptable. The omelet was salty and rubbery, as if it has been under a heat lamp for too long. The potatoes made up for for the salty omelet by being utterly bland and tasteless.
I has the spicy bowtie pasta with chicken. The chicken was paper thin and tough as shoe leather. It had no flavor and looked as it it was thrown onto the pasta as an afterthought. The pasta could have been good, except that the top was dry and rubbery and looked and tasted as if it had spent too much time under a heat lamp. Given the time it took until the meals arrived, one would suspect that the food was prepared but then forgotten by the server. This, however, does not explain the over salted omelet and the bad chicken.
The server asked about the quality of food about 3/4th through the meal and we politely informed her of the issues. Her response was a simple sorry before she walked away. At no time did she offer to replace at least the chicken or the omelet. On the way out - after this experience we gave up on cheesecake - I saw a few people engaged in idle chat and one of them appeared to be a manager. I approached and when asked whether he could help me I related our experience. He stated we should have informed the waitstaff and they would have remedied the problem. We told him the, yes, we informed the waitstaff and, no, they only said sorry and walked off. He then said: Oh, sorry about that. and that was the end of the conversation.
We did not want compensation, just decent food, and they should have offered to replace the items that were bad. We have dined in many Cheesecake Factories over the years and were never disappointed. Don't know what happened to the chain but it is no longer what it once was. Even provided feedback through their website as encouraged on the receipts and never heard from them. There are a lot of restaurants in the general Disney area in Florida. This one should not make...
Read moreWe visited last week and waited for our appetizer for 30 minutes. It took so long that my wife’s sandwich arrived first and she sent it back and told the food runner that we hadn’t received our appetizer yet. When the appetizer came it was the wrong order so we sent it back. The server came and we told him about what happened. We waited another 25 minutes until the correct appetizer finally arrived. After we finished eating the appetizer we waited another 20 minutes for our food where again my wife’s sandwich came out first. By the time my food came out my wife had already finished her sandwich where I told the server that I wanted to speak with the manager because of how unbelievably unacceptable our experience had gone. When the manager came over he was a bit confrontational stating that “the rule of thumb is, if you don’t want to pay for a meal you need to bring it to the attention of management before finishing your food.” I was so amazed that after all the patience we had shown waiting for 2 hours from start to finish that this manager Michael had the nerve to lecture me on restaurant protocol. Instead of make things better and apologize about the unbelievable lack of communication with the kitchen and how poorly they were performing he decides to gaslight me as if it was our fault that our appetizers took 40 minutes and my meal arrived 15 minutes after my wife’s. This was the second consecutive visit where our visit was not up to standard and we will not be visiting again and spending money until this place gets their act together. Service has been going downhill and this manager is not fit to deescalate and turn bad experiences around. The server was more professional than Michael the manager. When I told Michael that as someone who has been in management in the restaurant business previously for 10 years your job is to turn the experience around and at minimum comp items to compensate and win the guests business back. “His response was, am I not comping things, I just told you I am.” No Michael you’re comping things because I complained. It’s your job to be proactive and offer the comps before it reaches the point that the guest is so dissatisfied that he brings comping items off to you. You did it in retaliatory gesture, not a gesture of empathy and good nature. I hope this gets addressed by upper management if not I will bring this experience to the attention...
