Extra Space Storage — Local services in Duarte

Called to see their hours of operation & I got the automated phone tree that leads no where with a bunch of options.

Finally got through someone and asked what time they close, the guy said 10pm. I asked if he was sure because not long ago I got locked in at 7:30. His reply was "I've been here 10 years, yeah I'm sure"......ok cool. I let him know that I had been locked in before again and he said I cant come in after hours, let him know I was locked in not out and he said then I had put in the wrong code. He didn't ask a single question to try to figure anything out just kept putting he blame on me and insisting they close at 10. Finally I asked him what location he was out and it seemed to click, he told me he was in Glendora and was taking calls for more than one location. I told him I was calling for Pomona and that's when he says "oh yeah I think they close at 7pm".

All that could've been avoided if this guy just said he was taking calls for multiple locations from the beginning. Maybe ask some questions next time and listen to the customers before insisting...

When I quickly needed a storage unit in this area, I came here and was helped by Debbie. She was extremely patient with my inquiries, helpful, and most importantly cordial. She offered excellent customer service that gave me a great level of comfort. She was nice enough to show me the units and helped me pick the best one based on my needs.

The storage unit itself and the entire building are clean and well taken care of. They do rounds to keep this place well kept and prepared for their customers when they’re ready to rent a unit. The rates for the storage units were actually cheaper than the other units I’ve found online in the surrounding area. The perimeter is secure and has cameras and alarms.

Huge thanks to Debbie for helping me and making everything as easy as possible for me! I can actually go home happy and knowing I’ve been well taken care of and that my stuff will receive the same treatment that I’ve been given. I really can’t thank Debbie enough for everything she’s done...

5 Stars for Jason & Debbie! They were kind, helpful and professional from the beginning. I moved due a very stressful situation and they made it much easier! The location is safe. My items in storage were clean and in the same condition as when I stored them. I did have a rent increase, due to the corporation rate increases after a few months, but Debbie worked with me to lower it by talking to her district manager which I greatly appreciated. Of all the storage companies I looked into to store my items, this one had everything I needed: the price, safety, type of space I needed, and very good customer service! I would use Lifestorage Duarte again in the future.
