An absolute joke and worst example of what an employee can be. I went in for a quick purchase of an ( Rode ) wireless microphone’s unit and was meet with an employee who’s name was not given or used ( Male dark brown Complexion short black hair ) standing next to a ( White Caucasian white hair male ) in electronics on 11/26/23 and was look at and immediately was profiled. as soon as the male, dark brown complexion, short black hair ) saw me grab the item immediately grabbed his radio as I read his lips, he reported through the radio to watch out for a male Hispanic describing me. I immediately then approached him, asking him if he wanted to hold the item while I stood in line so that he would be sure that I was there not to steal the item. He immediately felt under pressure and began to immediately try to counter my opinion by saying that him and his male white Caucasian team member were just standing there talking, but that was completely not the case. I then began to make my way to the register area to pay for my item next to my wife as he radiated in the entire mail team members to the front to try to escalate the situation when I realized he was walking to the front to make it a bigger issue. I then walked over to all of the mail team members of Best Buy that were standing in the front, including the mail, who began the whole altercation. He was more apprehensive than me when I was the one who was offended for being racially profiled after he suggested. another team member to open a cash register and make me do my purchase and for me to get out of the store I immediately called my wife out of line and asked her to leave the item behind because I don’t contribute to companies or let alone employees who try to racially profile their own ethnicity or race so therefore, for the past month, I have returned every and all items that I have made purchased from that location simply because of this disgusting and awful behavior of an employee who feels he has the need to racially profile paying customers for minimum wage absolutely disgusted...
Read moreThis is regarding the Duarte location but I'm assuming it's all Best Buy stores. They have the worst customer service. I dropped off my cell phone for a simple repair at 3pm on Dec. 5th 2023. The Geek Squad doesn't close until 9pm and yet they said the phone wouldn't be done until the next at around 1pm because the Geek Squad doesn't start working in the morning until 11am. Why doesn't Best Buy have people working in the morning, and why do they not have enough staff to get things done faster?!
So 1pm the next day came and went and I heard nothing from Best Buy. I tried calling but instead of getting someone in the store, I got someone in India and they said that they could not transfer me to the store. They did agree to contact the Geek Squad and ask them to call me for an update but I never heard from the Geed Squad even though a request was put in. It's now 4pm and I still haven't heard from Best Buy.
I went online to check the repair status since I couldn't reach anyone at the store, but when I put in the work order number, there's no record of it in their system and so I was out of luck there as well.
The other place I was going to take it to for the repair said they'd have it done in 2 hours; I wish I had gone there. We're over 24 hours and Best Buy hasn't communicated with me in any way, and they have made it impossible for me to reach them.
When I talked to the Best Buy customer service in India, they said that even if I wanted to talk to someone in sales about buying products, they said they can't transfer me to the store. All calls, sales calls and product information calls, all have to be done with customer service in India. Unbelievable!
People are going to get tired of their awful customer service and I expect to see all Best Buy stores shutting down for good at some point, because I know my family and I are done giving...
Read moreI don't know it's just poor Management or training , but almost every time I have interacted with this location's geek squad it's always misinformation or poor service. The first time my brother and I went to purchase the last screen protector. We had a geek squad member assist us. The first time he messed up and I understood that, but what I got annoyed by is how he tried to be sneaky about it. I watched him go to the screen protector aisle and grab another which turned out to be the wrong size because he went to get another one. He then asked my brother and I if we knew the correct model of our phone, he insisted that our phone was a different model which that took 10 minutes. ( Which could have easily be figured out if he had just looked on the back of the phone) 😂😂😂 Fine, not everyone can do everything correctly. But, if you can't do it just find help. This whole ordeal took a solid 2-3 hours, just to get a screen protector on. The other time is today, I attempt to call this location on multiple extensions only to find out that the geek squad is the only department there that actually picks up their phones. I don't normally complain , but being sneaky with my money and refusing to check your information before arguing with a client . Then today, I spent a solid 20 mins calling extension after extension. Waiting on hold for around 3 mins with each call , just in case if they are actually busy, but no one answered. Finally, decided to call the geek squad since they have to be next to phones to schedule appointments. Maybe it's due to the virus that there are less staff.
