Golden Ticket Cinemas Dublin 8 — Local services in Dublin

On Sunday I checked the listing for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” and there was a showing the coming Wednesday at 9:00 am. I thought this was odd but because I wanted to take my daughter for her birthday and Wednesday happened to be her birthday, so I thought well that will be perfect. Checked again this Wednesday morning & according to a google search the movie was still playing at 9. Their website no longer had the movie available, but I thought it may be a glitch. Got to the theater, there’s a bus and people unloading for the show! Yay! Unfortunately after standing inside they realized we weren’t with the very small bus group and would not allow us 3 people to stay and enjoy the movie. I’m sure this is procedure BUT being it was listed online as showing, this was shown to the lady who sent us away, I thought this was a bit unfair and false advertising. So now we will have to go out of town, which is fine, to watch the movie because that was their last showing of that particular movie. When I worked at the theater, private showings were...

Facility is in desperate need of updating. Seating is uncomfortable and many seats are broken with the seat itself extending too far down. Yesterday there were multiple ceiling tiles missing in theater 4 with water steadily dropping through and down into buckets and plastic sheeting covering a section of seats. Quite distracting. The restrooms are often dirty. It was "nice" 20 years ago; the previous company that owned it (Carmike) did little other than keep the doors open. When AMC bought it I had hoped there would be improvements made. I guess I'm still waiting and hoping. It's a shame; there are no other theaters in this area. A new theater with quality sound and picture and stadium seating would be a huge draw for the area. As it is, when we want that experience we have to drive to...

It's pretty cool, I'm sitting down in a real wild chair leaned back as far as possible. I'm in my own domain of comfy right now. This is miles better than what the old theater was, for one it smells so much better. The arcade is back, big win. The theaters house less people than they normally do but at the same time this let's you sprawl out and be as large and in charge as you want (within reason people). Audio and visuals are alright, everything is good there. I cannot stress enough how comfy it is here though. The only downside I've seen is that they took out the touchscreen drink dispenser that was here prior, but that's nothing really. The movie is starting now though so I have to go to...
