Caribbean Fiesta — Restaurant in Georgia

I’m giving 3 stars for the food and if it were an option, 0 stars for the customer service at the Duluth location. I know customer service is lacking these days, so I feel the need to provide Customer 101 feedback on the Duluth location. The bar tender is consistently welcoming and is intentional about greeting customers to include a smile and eye contact as soon as you walk in. Unfortunately, the servers behind the counter – not so much. They are lukewarm at best. I come here often but the last few times, I have left disappointed and slightly annoyed. I usually come during the off hours, so there is no line. During my last visit earlier this week, I stood at the counter for 5 minutes waiting to place my order while watching the server walk past me several times trying to complete another task. In that 5 minutes she could have taken my order, filled my container and checked me out at the register, and I would have been on my way. I completely understand multi-tasking, but the customer in front of you should be the priority. And, if you are multitasking, at the very least greet and acknowledge the customer with a “Hi, I’ll be right with you.” Instead, there was no acknowledgement. no eye contact, no greeting – nothing! Unfortunately, this is typical behavior of whoever is behind the counter and there are consistently 2 that have been there for a while, so the issue is not turnover. But it may be a lack of knowledge and training around the basics of customer service. Good Customer Service and Customer Experience is everything! Train your Team to have a demeanor of appreciation towards your customers for patronizing your business and to take note of loyal customers. They are the front line of the business. The first impression starts and ends with them. I’ll be to taking a break from this location for a while. It’s not hard to find my go-to dish at other restaurants. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Caribbean Fiesta, and let me tell you, it was an absolute culinary delight that left me speechless. I ordered the curry chicken with rice and peas, accompanied by perfectly fried plantains, and every bite was a heavenly experience. I would easily rate this meal a perfect 10 out of 10 - it was simply amazing.

Our experience with Caribbean Fiesta for our wedding was beyond a 10/10. I truly believe God reminded me of this restaurant right on time. I used to eat here a lot but didn't realize they catered. I was going to book with another local restaurant but I did not feel at peace with the customer service so I kept looking and stumbled across Caribbean Fiesta's catering information. Sara was professional from the beginning and communicated in a timely manner. The food tasting was set up perfectly. She was very patient with us and helped make sure we got what we wanted within our budget. She put up with us making changes throughout the months as well. I had no concerns the day of the wedding because Sara quickly earned my trust with her actions. The food was AMAZING!!! Our wedding guest kept asking us for the information and we kept sharing LoL. The servers were professional and kept the buffet area clean. The staff felt like family!! We HIGHLY recommend Caribbean Fiesta for family dinner, lunch on your break, or a catering event!!
