Jasmine and Thai milk tea is good. They hand make their bubbles!
DRINKS- I love most their milk based tea drinks. The tea is good. I love their oolong milk tea at 75% sugar. I made the mistake of getting one of those Oreo swirl specialty drinks and I was so sad.
BUBBLE- on occasion it is a little too soft but they usually have great consistency. They give you a lot of bubble. I know their bubble is more expensive than other places but compared to ding tea, I think OneZo gives you double what ding tea gives you so itâs worth the price. I love their honey boba. Itâs not sweet, itâs almost like eating flavourless mochi- diff than most bubbles I get elsewhere. I do not care for their sugar bubble (personally do not like) or Rose bubble (too floral).
VIBE- hip, young. Evening time is when I usually go and they can get packed around 9-10pm. Iâve seen the line go out the door but it is worth the wait. When itâs out the door, you can still get your drink in 15-20mins.
STAFF- incredibly nice!! So respectful to customers.
PARKING- there is plenty of parking but when they get busy, you just have to park a little further.
BONUS- they have two arcade games in the corner. Ppl donât seem to care that much...
Read moreOne Zo Boba sits in a small shopping center right off of Pleasant Hill so you already know there is some stiff competition in the area.
The interior is narrow and spacious with most seating on one side. The interior design has an almost retro vibe to the place, kind of like a 60s diner. You order from the counter. The kitchen and everything is exposed so you can see where they prep everything.
The bubble tea options are pretty standard you have you milk and non milk tea varieties. Each tea has the option to add any of their homemade tapioca. The boba here is very high quality and what they are honestly most known for.
I ended up getting the Taro milk tea and the One Zo tea. The tea itself is good but pretty generic, the only standout is really the tapioca topping, those are beyond fresh and definitely add to the experience.
To sum it up, I'll keep this one short, since I didn't get a chance to try out the rest of the menu. Of the teas I got, they all tasted like well bubble tea, but the tapioca is really the main selling point for One Zo. If you're looking for HQ tapicoa, this is...
Read morePeople were not kidding when they said this boba shop had the best boba around. Iâve tried my fair share of tapioca and I must say this place ranks #1 in tapioca taste and texture. The tapioca was perfectly chewy, not too big or small, and not overly sweet.
I ordered the assam black milk tea with brown sugar boba and brown sugar taro foam with light ice and 0% sugar. Iâm very glad I got 0% sugar because the boba was slightly sweet and the taro foam made the drink just sweet enough. The milk tea itself wasnât anything spectacular (in fact, I wish the tea flavor was stronger) but the taro foam was absolutely delicious. Iâve never had a brown sugar taro foam and I donât think Iâll find it anytime soon in NYC.
We also ordered a purple rice egg waffle which was very good. I thought the batter would be made of purple rice but it was just the original batter with purple rice sprinkled into the batter as it cooks. Either way, it was delicious.
This cafe also has one restroom, a small sitting area, and some free...
