My wife and I have shopped here at least a dozen times when we make trips south through Ohio. And based on those experiences, we believe that this store offers excellent product variety, great service, reasonable prices, and high quality products. Overall, we give it 5 stars, with more details offered below.
Excellent Product Variety: This store offers a great variety of meat snack products, including jerky and snack sticks made from beef, turkey, venison, buffalo, elk, and other wild and exotic meats. This store also offers a great selection of pre-packaged gourmet popcorn, with various combinations of savory and sweet toppings.
Great Service: The staff in this store are polite, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products. During our most recent shopping experience here, the staff gave us time and space to browse, but when they noticed we had paused for a while on a certain product, they gently asked if we had any questions, which we did, and they were immediately knowledgeable and provided the information we needed. They then invited us to try many more samples of the various jerky until we found what were looking for.
Reasonable Prices: The prices have gone up here recently. During our most recent shopping experience here, we paid around $70 for two 12oz bags of jerky. That being said, inflation has driven up costs across the economy, and I have absolutely no doubt that it has become even more expensive to produce high quality meat snacks by properly and humanely raising livestock (or hunting wild game), seasoning, smoking, preserving, packaging, shipping, and stocking the meat snacks, and then covering those inventory overhead costs for weeks or months until a customer buys the product. I will say that these tend to be premium quality meat snacks, so consider that factor when considering the value-to-price relationship.
High Quality: Both the meat and popcorn snacks here have almost always been of consistently high quality. We don't like to consume MSG, and the meat and popcorn products that contain MSG consistently feature appropriate identification in the ingredients list.
I recently visited this jerky outlet, shopping specifically for a Christmas gift. After reading the reviews I was some what skeptical. However I didn't let that discourage me. While my visit here I was greeted promptly and the service I received was very accommodating and informative as I'm not very educated on "authentic jerky". The sales associate explained the sales they were currently offering as well as ALL of the jerky flavors, types etc. During my visit here I was also approached by what later I found out was another local jerky store owner who tried to discourage me from making a purchase at this location and suggested I go down the road to the "other" jerky store. (little did I know it was the "other store owner" telling me this - trolling). I highly recommend that if you are new to purchasing authentic jerky that you shop AT THIS location. They have a large selection and they are HONEST. You can't put a price on honesty and...
Read moreEvery time we are in town we have to stop in and visit the store and buy up some goodies! This time was no different. We particularly love Their Smoked White Fish and this time we received a recommendation to try the Ozark Stout Ale Mustard to accompany it along with our Almond Nut-Thins Hint of Sea Salt Crackers, it was Wonderful! We also of course had to grab up some of their Beef Jerky, My Husband got The Fire, which is A Ghost Pepper Jerky, I got The Sweet n’ Spicy 1 pound packages. They are so tender and delicious we love them. I also really love the Cinnamon Candied Almonds, they smell like Christmas to me and I just so love them, they bring back childhood memories for me. I would highly recommend this place if you’re in town you definitely need to stop by! The staff is super friendly and it’s just a really nice place to visit. For an additional bonus there’s a smoothie bar...
