I am a HUGE Ross fan. I was so excited when I heard they were finally coming to Durango. WHAT A TERRIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT It is literally the worst Ross Store I have ever seen in all my years shopping at many different Ross Stores in many different locations. First of all, it is empty. The shelves are literally empty. The food section had so little stock I couldn't believe it. There were maybe 30 total items in the food dept, and they spread those out on mostly empty shelves. The makeup section is very tiny, and has a lot of junk in it. Compared to the selection at TJ Maxx next door, it is really pathetic. The furniture looks like thrift store rejects, there was literally nothing there I would even consider putting in my home or business, it was so odd and ugly. The clothing is really hideous, I am unsure who they think lives here, but they have missed a huge opportunity with the Durango market. There are a lot of students here, as well as professional people that are looking for reasonably priced clothing, but the stock on hand is mostly unwearable. It looks like they took everything they couldn't sell at another Ross and sent it to Durango. Same with the home furnishings department. Limited stock, and a lot of reject type items. I was looking forward to redoing my home with some of the lovely furniture and home goods I have seen at most of the other Ross Stores I have visited, but with rare exceptions there is nothing to buy. The only department that does seem well stocked is the pet department. Durango has a median home price of $450,000 but somehow buyers have chosen to treat this store as a Ross reject outlet instead of sending us great stock we would like to buy. I truly believe with the right stock, this could be an incredibly successful location for a smaller Ross store. Instead, everyone in town is talking about how terrible the store is. I have visited 4 times now, and each time I have been so disappointed with the quality of the merchandise compared to the many other Ross locations I have shopped in. With the exception of opening day, which wasn't all that great, people here have found the Durango Ross Store a hugely disappointing shopping experience. I sincerely hope the buyers rethink their buying and stock selection strategies for this location if Ross Store Corporate wants this location to be a success. Ross Stores Corporate needs to take a hard look at what they are doing in...
Read moreI have had such great experiences the many times I have shopped at Ross. The manager ( I think his name is Brian) has always been very kind to his constituents and seems to have a passion to have the operations of the store run smoothly. Ariel has been a dream associate; so helpful and pleasant. She makes one feel like she is their personal shopper:) Ladonna always has a smile whenever I check out and cares if I have had a good experience. Other associates are also very helpful and always seem ready to offer guidance. I have shopped at many Ross's across the country and this store not only has a nice selection, but also, `the clothes seem a little...

I pulled my stuff out on the table right in front of the store because the receipt didn’t make sense looking at every item I didn’t have a tag. I went back to her and asked her where the tiles were and she said every tag fell off five tags fell off of five items.. and the tags didn’t match what where there when I pulled it...
