Shoe Dept. Encore — Local services in Durango

Such a sad situation when it rains in Durango. This store had showers pouring inside the store. Instead of closing and letting customers know they are NOT helping customers due to an emergency situation, the bald headed lady was the rudest unkind sales person on planet earth. Yelling at me “the customer looking for a cashier” that, I need to just wait as they are having an emergency! I am soooo sorry that as a CUSTOMER of your store, I thought that maybe one of the seven of you could tend to customers after they wasted so much time looking through your merchandise. That store manager really needs to understand that customers are why they even have jobs in the first place!! There are OTHER shoe stores in Durango. I will never see YOU...

I went to the Durango mall today looking for a nice pair of wedge sandals. I went to JC Penney first thinking I might get a good deal because of the going-out-of-business sale and quickly realized that everything there was still massively overpriced despite the store closing discounts. Popped next door to Shoe Dept and boy am I happy I did that! Tons of amazing shoes, basically all of them on sale. I got the perfect pair of wedge sandals and another pair of booties for only $10, marked down from $50! Unlike JC Penney, Shoe Dept was well organized and easy to find sizes. The employees were friendly and helpful and the selection of styles and sizes were outstanding. I’ll definitely be back, probably tomorrow, because I love shoes and...

Took my kids at 7 pm on Friday and they were closed. No hours posted on doors. Went at 10 am Saturday like Google says it would be open, and of course not. Closed. Went on my way and a few hours later noticed they were open. Very poor selection found 1 pair of shoes out of three people. Then as I was paying for my shoes I say something about the hours not being posted on the door and how that would have been nice to know, and the store supervisor or manager whom ever she was so rudely says " I've posted them and they just keep disappearing and I'm just not going to put them up anymore." Not going back there again...
